Been quite awhile since I started up an Initech but I wanted to get the number of active tournaments down. We're down to three active tournaments (one of which has only two games remaining) so I thought it was a good time to unveil the next few Initechs. The first is a doubles tournament, following up on the successful Initech XI. I give you: Initech XVIII: Oceania x2
OVERVIEW
2-round, 12-team, 40-game, 8-map tournament. All teams guaranteed eight games. Max games for an individual team is 16. Games will be 3-team and 4-team matches.
ELIGIBLE PLAYERS
Premium only, sorry. You'll need more than 4 games open at all times.
RULES
All games will be Doubles, Chained, Flat Rate, Foggy, Automatic Deploy
MAPS
Australia, Cairns Coral Coastal, Cairns Metro, Oceania, Philippines, Rail Australia, Sydney Metro, WWII Australia
ROUNDS
The first round will consist of four 3-team groups. Each group will play 8 games on the maps listed above. The team with the most wins is group winner and advances to the finals.
The final round will consist of one 4-team group. The group will play 8 games on the maps listed above. The team with the most wins is tournament champion.
SEEDINGS
There will be no seeds. The draw will be random.
TIEBREAKERS
In the event of a tie for the group lead in the first round, the tiebreaker will be a head-to-head game on the Oceania map using tournament settings.
In the event of a tie for the group lead in the final round, the first tiebreaker will be most wins in the first round. If still tied, the second tiebreaker will be a game on the Oceania map using tournament settings.
