It is pretty illuminating to see all the countries that play Conquer Club! But some countries only have a handful of people---which is sad! Conquer Club should spread further!

Nice update.

Pity that I can only see how I do amongst people living in Mexico and not amongst the Dutch (whom I would like to represent rather than the first group).

Not to mention the fact that I logged into the account of a European I'm account sitting for and now, all of a sudden, he is number 3 of Mexico!

Proxy Blocking

After studying web proxy use for several months we've discovered that much less than 1% of our membership visits Conquer Club through web proxies and a large portion of this proxy use is by members with multiple accounts. We decided to block access to Conquer Club through web proxies to help our multi hunters enforce the rules and keep out the bad guys.

Unfortunately some members who use proxies legitimately to get past firewalls at school or work will be affected. We regret this side effect and hope those affected end up with better grades and promotions to make up for this

I would have been pissed last year! But our school figured out how to block proxies on their end first, so... =P

Historical scores are probably more difficult to track, but more scoreboard updates will certainly come in the future.

Map XML Enhancement

To provide you with new challenging maps and to keep things interesting for map makers, we'll be making single enhancements to the map XML format on a regular basis.

To begin with, we've expanded the objective to include continents. This will lead to maps with more flexible winning objectives like "hold 60% of the world". For more information about map development, please visit the Map Foundry.

While we could certainly do with some more xml features for new and interesting gameplay, many players would probably appreciate some fixes to previous upgrades:

Frestyle Fix Fix
Ok, so Herpes is no longer King etc. However, players can use the missed-turn-double-turn feature now - if you are going second (in ! v 1 for example), you can miss your turn, end up going first, take your turn and deploy deferred armies !! Whilst very fast and cunning players can no longer take advantage, the door has been opened for blatant cheats.

New Medals, Old Medals Hidden in Some Old Drawer, Gathering Dust
Please can we have a bigger jacket so we can actually wear our medals, If not, how about choosing which medals we wear (i.e. order of preference)? We currently have 12 shown including some of the more frivolous medals, with some of the more meaningful medals hidden (e.g. tournament medals).

FYI - the proxy blocking has caused login problems for some people who do not use proxies. It has been disabled until we can fix it...
