This sounds like something that should be run as a tourney, unless you don't want all the work of creating the games. Medals for it if it's a tourney...

The only problem would be we could not limit it to clan members only at time point with current tournament rules.

Shouldn't limit it to just clan members, a lot of good free agents out there. Although I could see mostly clan members participating.

I would play in this as long as the game load isn't huge for each individual.

Sounds cool

The game load would be about the Clan league levels. So you could play 1, 2, or 3 games in each batch.

I agree, I think finding some new good team members that aren't currently in a clan would be a bonus to this. That and working with new people would be fun.

I would want to play with non clanmates, to get a feel for some new playing styles.

Also could be some interesting pairings. I know of quite a few teams that are in seperate clans that could be lethal when joined up...

This is one of the more interesting ideas i think that has been brought to the table. Kind of like a happy medium between clan play and tournament play... G1 might have some top draft picks in that case... :)

Maybe bruceswar could talk with NS and possibly get a OK with making a tourney that was specifically for this event with out having to leave spots for other random CC players, unless you decided to go with letting outsiders that were not in clans participate then it would work fine.

But just like what has been mentioned, i agree that there should be a limit of certain clan named members on the same team, for example, a team led by say Gold Knight could only have 2-3 TSM members, 2-3 Thota members and so on, it would mix up the teams and make it a lot funner if tons of people were interested IMO.

I think the clans will mix well. In fact I also think the leaders of the teams would want people they work well with. For me there are people from all clans I work well with and some not even in clans.

if there are 1000 people in clans we definitely could do this as a tourney for only clan members (I don't think there are nearly that many but maybe I'm wrong)
major+ tourneys are allowed and there are currently around 1075 players that are major+

thx for running this bruce

Yeah, like I said tho, talk with NS and the tourney directors, maybe they will let the clans have a special tourney. Because i am pretty sure in the tourney rules, you have to have free spots for the public.

I have a way around this so we can run it as a tournament. I will draft it all up and post a finalized version soon. There will also be people who are not currently in clans playing but they must meet some requirements. It will all be posted soon. I will check on the number of TO's allowed etc.
