First off the requirements:
No rank requirement.
50% kill ratio or better in SSSCE games (including terminator and standard).
Minimum of 50 SSSCE games completed (terminator can be included in this count).
I can maprank you to determine if you meet these simple criteria. If you are close to meeting the criteria, I will add you as a reserve. Note: If we are short players I will start adding from the reserves in order of kill ratio.
Next, the format:
Initially I am setting this up for 28 players to play. If there is enough interest we can expand the format. All 28 players will be in a pool. The first round, players will be divided alphabetically into four groups of seven. The following and all subsequent preliminary rounds, the players will be grouped in the current order of standings (meaning the four winners of the first round will play in the same group, plus the three players last eliminated ranked by number of rounds survived). We will do this for six rounds, with the top 7 point scorers (1 win = 1 pt) moving on to the final group which will play the six maps below plus the classic map. If there is a tie between multiple players the tied players plus the next players in score will play a tie-breaker on the classic map, and this will go on until the tie is broken.
