I think it would be sad if he came back... If a friggin clicky explorer type game site banned me for 6 months, I think I would probably have to say, "frick you losers" and move on... But thats just me.

At first I thought owenshooter overreacting to everything he could possibly drum up was just part of his schtick.

But as time went on, I became more and more convinced that it's just who he is. I hope when he comes back he learns how to let things go, and give the benefit of the doubt. Or at least give that benefit of the doubt to those people he should know by now are not racists in any way, shape, or form.

No one's perfect though, and I can understand why he gets upset (yeah, that's right idiots, white people can be victims of racism too).

Depends on your definition of fun.....if by "your havin' fun" you mean "nobody reads the forums anymore," then yes i agree with your statement....the mods should be so very proud of the current state of things!

There are some old posters I miss (including owen) but I also think there are some great new posters who have, to a large extent, filled the gap. There was certainly a period (about 6 months ago) when it seemed Andy had removed most of the active GD posters in one way or another and GD was dead, but new people have emerged, have bedded in, and are now writing good stuff. I certainly read GD.

I would also add that GD is certainly not 'over-modded'. A lot of threads go off in quite wonderful directions and all seems to be good. I suspect this is due to the lack of any real angst in the threads...compared to a year ago. Personally I am quite happy to have a slightly 'Gd-lite' time if, because of the general good humour of the place, there is little need for active, destructive, moderation.

However, I am looking forward to the return of our great leader, the all-knowing presence that is the owenshooter. I've been practicing prostrating myself (in an online fashion) and am also looking forward to the inevitable "Why aren't you wearing a BpB sig.?" conversation!!!

Actually I did not see them in their hay-day. Caught them in a night club in the early 80's. Saw Zep 6 times in the 70's, I guess you can say that I sacrificed a few brain cells back then. lol.

Personally I'm rather disappointed.
We've been having so much fun with all those threads about the dice - you can never say enough about dice in my opinion.
And then there's the great threads where we quote what we say in game chat.
