okay, this is good timing. You need a lot more info in your first post, I just started a tourney almost exactly like this, here it is. Please just take this as friendly advice.

If you are interested in more, official help, consider partcipating in the Tournament Coaching Project (TCP). It is a group of Tournament Organizers, including me, who help new organizers run their first couple of tourneys to get the hang of things. You will still run your tourney yourself, but the coach will be there to give you advice and tell you what you need to work on. If you are intersted, PM amazzony, and you can mention me ;)

Yep, this right here. Glad to see you're starting a tournament so soon after joining the site - if you have any questions don't hesitate to ask!

This is much better than your original post was, you're getting on the right track. However, you still need to do a couple more things. First, you need to move this info to the first post. You already know how to edit posts based on the fact that you changed the title to incorporate ETROPAL. Also, you still need more info. You need to say what maps these different rounds will be on, and how long the rounds are. Many 1v1 bracket tournaments require you to win 2 out of 3 games or 3 out of 5. I think yours is just 1 game takes it all, but you need to put that information either way. I would also recommend keeping a list of players in the first post. Many people like to see who they could be playing against, or honestly forget if they've already signed up for the tourney or not, and it's just a good thing to have (but not necessarily required).

Basically my goal as a TO is to make my tourneys idiot-proof. You have to cover the basics, and also think of the dumb questions and answer them in your first post. I'm sure you know exactly what you want your tourney to be like. To get players, however, and more importantly tourney privileges, you need to take all of that information and put it up in your first post.

You should read before you get in. This will not be a tourney. No settings or anything were ever set up.

I think it is time this gets abandoned
