No Oasis, Blur, Pulp, The Verve options? Brit pop was a huge part of the 1990s!

Diddle! Haven't seen you in ages!

I am actually a massive Smashing Pumpkins fan, saw them at Reading a couple of years ago and they stole the show! However, bands like Alice in Chains, Soundgarden, Blind Melon had nothing of the impact the aforementioned bands did in the United Kingdom when the whole country went Britpop mad (especially with the Blur vs Oasis battles for no.1!) then again this is a very American centralised poll.

Perhaps we should do this for best bands of the 00s now the decade is over, obvious candidates would be RHCP, Muse, Radiohead again, The Killers.

I'm popping back - well I'm trying to.

I've never really been introduced to them, or had an urge to look them up, which is why I guess I don't rate them so highly.

What about U2? people are often very divided when they come up.

Bleh, Muse and The Killers? I say we don't do that. The actual good bands are ones nobody's heard of.

Like? I just don't understand how they can be so good but also relatively unheard of.

As long as it's not Soundgarden, I'm ok.

You fail at fora. Your credibility-determining card has been revoked.

Ah, but failing at fora for me is a win. You have attempted to divide by zero and may now be replaced squirrel riding a snake.

I don't know what's so hard to understand. Popularity isn't the same thing as quality.

True. Look at the Jonas Bros. Really popular, horrible sounds that they try to pass off as music.
