I think the addition of being able to play a "set" with just one spoil is the greatest idea of all time. This is a game changer, a strategy changer, and will make the game so much. much more interesting to play. Similarly great is the idea that you can play two spoils as a "set." Bravo, and how do we make this happen?

Well, I doubt anyone upon reading it will disagree that its a great idea. The main problem will be that its a completely different way to cash spoils, which as yeti said, will be difficult to say the least. To some degree, its another game altogether, and even if it becomes pending....its not gonna happen for a while. Like you though... I want to play it today.
I'm Spanking Monkey now....err...I mean I'm a Spanking Monkey now...that shoots milk Too much. I know.
I won't profess any astounding abilities, but I am familiar with XML and would be willing to at least look at what would need to be done to get this implemented.
its one of the very rare good ideas in this forum!!! But I think we will need some adjustments: In my oppinion spoils should be worth a bit more than in your proposal so that gameplay will be a bit more like esc.. Cashing a flush should be worth ~25 because its so rare and you also have to wait 5 turns to have the same amount of cards again.

Sniff
Do you mean after eliminating someone? I was under the impression it would be similar to now only forcing the midturn if you get 5 or more cards.

Hmm i think you have to be careful not to overpower certain cashes, because then it would increase the luck factor. A 25-cash is a big swing if you opponents are only getting ~10 cashes.

This idea seems to be very popular and has had very little, if any, negative feedback. It would take a little bit of work as it's adding another Spoils option, but I believe it would be worth it, as long as a proper definition of how these spoils work was clearly posted in the rules etc.
