Clan League: Season 2 (2009-2010) - Info, Discussion, Q&A

Hmmm.. i have a question... what is the stuff (maps and such) to the right of the all stars? Also... what all does being an all star entail? are they going to be playing in more games... or just being recognized for their efforts?

congratulations to wasee and russian stripper. both of them are exceptional players, this is just another prove of their legacy.

but, to me, the biggest applause here should be awarded after playoffs are done. individual achievements are always nice, but result of your clan is whats count at the end

special note: im happy to see Nemesis getting 4th place with positive score, proving they do belong in league A. after all the talks before league starts, this result was something we need.

Not sure what you are talking about exactly... but you guys Definitely belong in Division 1 (what league A?)

division 1, league A, whats the difference

before league start one clan from div1 has abandon us(think it was sky force, but im not sure). Nemesis was first in line to fill that spot, but out of nowhere talk started that Nemesis and TOFU should play playoiff game for filling that spot. we were of course against it(not because we are scared from TOFU, actually we enjoy hard battles... just as TOFU lads enjoy hard... ehm... back to topic), and there was shit load of talk what should be done... at the end CoF and whole TOFU decided they also dont want to get into that challenge(and truth to be told, that was never their idea, they were perfectly happy to start from div2and prove themself as a clan, even thou they all were already proven as a players), so Nemesis got the spot but the taste was still bitter... now, after finishing with positive score, and have 2 of top 8 players in whole div1, we can finally shut all the neysayers

And quite right too Marko. You guys were always deserving of a place in Div.1 and were also first in line. What transpired was easily the best remedy and also the best decision TOFU ever made as a clan.

jpcloet mentioned a best of 3 series in PM, but I'd like to suggest a few more games played in order to give a reserves a chance to play a game or two, and maybe even mix a bit within the teams.

Here is an idea:
* 8 games played with the same setup used during the clan league - 4 doubles, 2 trips, 2 quads
* first 3 games played by the fixed selected teams (double: freak&laddida vs tyche&shatners and so on)
* teams for remaining 5 games chosen by team captains (dako & wase)
* maps chosen by clan directors (league favorite maps)

notes:
* 4x2 + 2x3 + 2x4 = 22 - which means that each of eleven players on team can get two games
* I'd like to see teams mixed as much as possibles, i.e. - if I played the first game on trips, I'd rather play my second game in quads or doubles with teammates I didn't play first triple with

Hehe we'll have a nice point advantage over Rabbiton, FarangDemon and Lordnex.

You could probably beat us 4 out of 5 times and we would still be positive

good point, that's exactly why other team based competitions like NBA, NFL etc never play all-star games and hand out MVP awards and such ... oh wait

come on, lighten up, it's all about having fun.. and a chance to play a couple of hard games against and along side some of the best players in the game certainly promises a lots of fun

yah, it is looking very even in our matchup.

LoW vs BPB would be fun. Both from division B (our division was much tougher last year as well ...otherwise we would have won it last year, not thota...)
