Hello everyone. This is the first tournament that I am attempting to host. I like the idea of playing a full major league baseball season, and since this is already taken care of, I would like to start a similar tournament for AAA Minor League Baseball (Pacific Coast League and International League)
Since I am a freemium, I can’t restrict who joins, so anyone is welcome. I am hoping to send out 3 games every 4 or 5 days following the 2010 Triple A schedule.
The format is as follows:
There are 142 games in the Triple A season. Every team will play 71 home games and 71 away games. Players upon signing up will pick their home map and settings.
The championship is determined by the best four teams in each league playing in the playoffs. The IL has 14 teams and divisions of 4, 6 and 4. The PCL has four divisions of 4, with one division winner from each. The three division winners and a wild card team in the IL and the four division winners in the PCL will play in best out of three series for each of the first two rounds until there is one team left in each league. Now there is only one game in the finals. Home field will be determined by the 4 best teams in each league playing a quads game against each other on a random map in the all star game at the midway point of the season. The winning league gets home field advantage in the final game. The home field advantage gives the player from the winning league the chance to select their settings in the finals.
