Okay... before the screaming starts...

I was looking in on the existing games, and somehow managed to kill one of them that was almost full... a power I've apparently never realized I had, even in prior tournaments I've run.

My deep apologies to The Mighty Quads and Team 6's... the game is being remade and re-sent, NOW.

I won't be updating the end of this thread for every game, but I WILL try to keep games coming as fast as we can finish them. If you've finished a game, and it's been 24 hours without hearing from me or getting a new game, please send a PM.

Okay, an issue has come up I didn't bother to include in the rules...

With such a low-impact tournament (one game at a time), I did not anticipate a player simply not joining their games. While I did include rules for deadbeats, I did not include a time limit for joining.

The player received (or possibly didn't) the round 2 game invitation that was sent to his team. about 48 hours later, I sent a single message to the player, which has not been picked up. He has missed a turn in a game recently, but DID log in between the two messages. However, due to the oddity of the PM system, I may have managed to remove the initial message from his mailbox after his team received it, but before he did. (I'm not sure it's possible, but I've seen some WEIRD things with PMs on here)

ANYWAY... I will give him (and future individuals) four days/96 hours from the initial message, or 48 hours from the reminder, whichever is LONGER.

Okay, I'm headed out of town for 6 days, I'll have limited access until Saturday evening, US central.

I will ATTEMPT to keep up with making games and updating, as there's not really many games in the tournament, but I may be unable to get to the site at all. So if any games finish between now and Saturday, just hold on, I'll take care of everything when I get back.

Trivial Updates:
Every match is up to game 3 or 4 in the first round.
No match managed to split the first two games.
One team is courting elimination, but it looks like they'll stave that off for a bit.

Things are still proceeding well, barring the occasional slipped link by the TO...

I appreciate those of you who've caught my errors so far... I try to stay diligent, but it's actually harder for me to do in this tournament, where each PM and game is very specific and individual, as opposed to some of my mass tournaments where I'm sending out many games to several players at a time. Then again, there's math formulae controlling the distribution of games in those, which helps me, as absurd as that sounds.

One match left, which has been greatly slowed by random draw of large maps. It's a 2-0 game lead right now, but it seems quite likely to turn into a 2-1 match, so it may be a bit before the 4th team for round 2 is decided.
