I wouldn't call a "threesome" a "swing-party" myself... so I want you to clarify your definition.

They are private, with limited attendance, often they are clubs... with limited membership, where people are vetted and often tested.
Depending on the dilligence of the people running the show... having sex at one of these (even with multiple people in the same night) is potentially safer than meeting and fucking a random person at a bar.
