The following General Achievement Medals have been approved for this tournament:

Announcement 2

As just stated; A consolation tournament (The Surpassed Championship) for the 82 losing players from The Play-In Round will be held. This is consolation for the Play-In Entrants that lost and never got to play in bracket play. The winner of the mini-tournament will receive a GA Medal (Not to be confused with a normal tournament champion medal).

I will set-up the game and send out the invitations at my convenience. Invites will be sent directly. Do not ask me if you need to go somewhere to find your game! Just like the Unsurpassed Championship, this tournament will be 1 v 1 single elimination. The higher seeds will be the higher ranked players.

Most of The Round 256 games are completed. I estimate that all of the Round Of 256 games will be finished in a week or two. No Round Of 128 games are scheduled to be sent out before the completion of The Round Of 256. In the meantime, I'll be able to put together the Surpassed Championship sub-tourney.

The games will be sent in reverse order this time. So the later brackets will get sent the first invites this time.

IT IS ULTIMATELY YOUR RESPONSIBILITY TO ENSURE THAT YOU GET THE RIGHT MAP SETTINGS.
I have to send out games with different maps/settings for each game and mistakes are possible. If you are a higher seed and have been sent a game with the wrong map or settings; in order to make your game unofficial and guarantee a game remake, you must type UNOFFICIAL into the game chat before you begin your turn and then contact me. If you do this you're game will automatically be considered unofficial (assuming I made a mistake). I'll then remake your game. If you do not follow this procedure then a game will only be made unofficial at my discretion.

My best advice would be to check the settings before you even accept an invited, but I realize that many of us are in many tournaments and do not check invites very carefully. Still you must be responsible enough to check it before you take a turn.

Announcing the The Unsurpassed Championshp 1 Bracket Prediction Game!

Who can play: Everybody! You do not even have to be enrolled in the tournament! But no sign-ups/edits will be accepted after Tuesday, August 24, 2010. Brackets must be filled out on or before this date.

Why play: If you love filling out March Madness brackets, you will love to participate in this contest!

How To Play/Rules

1. Create a post with your predictions on the tournament thread. Make sure that it is titled The Unsurpassed Championship 1 Bracket Prediction Game so that people know that you are playing and also so that so that casual on-lookers do not confuse predictions with results.

3. Copy/Paste the format of the sample prediction ballot (just below this post). Put the winners in blue and the losers in red (for each round). Obviously after the Round Of 128, you will have to change names to suit your picks.

4. Reminder: The deadline to create/edit posts is Tuesday, August 24th. If you edit a post after August 24th, you will be forfeited from the contest. Anytime before that, you can edits posts. So even if you can't make all of your picks in one sitting then I would still advise that you list your picks and edit it up until the deadline (if necessary). This means you do not edit your posts to denote how you scored in a round. You have to create a separate post if you want to do that. I fear that someone may inevitably do this and I'll have no choice but to forfeit them from the contest.

5. A cc member can only fill out one ballot. Multiple ballots will not be allowed and anybody that does that will be disqualified.

The Round Of 32 - 4 pts
The Super Sixteen - 5 pts

Self Scoring

There is no medal and I'm not sure what your question is but you put your predicted winner in blue and loser in red. You count the points after the fact. You follow the natural progression of your picks.

You guess the Round of 128 winners. The Round of 64 winner you guess has to be one of the people you guess to win in Round 64. When its all said and done you add up the points. You make all your picks by the deadline if that's what you're getting at. You don't wait for a round to start to pick.
