Army placing in team games

Post by sbartimaes »

Can a player put his armies on the territory of one of his teammates in a team game?
Thanks,

yes you can, but once you do there is no way to take them back, during reinforcements, you can only fort to your teammate if you are boardering.

Fair enough, but let's say that the game is still early, on turn 1-2, and on of your teammates has 3 out of 4 countries in a continent. Giving them armies to solidify their hold on that continent would be justifiable. Especiall if they fight the major fronts while you set up.

the above posters were just clarifying what you CAN do, how the game is designed as per your question. In your last post you are talking strategy. But yes, deploying on and *especially* rienforcing/"forting" your team-mates is a big part of team games and should be used in a wide variety of situations. On the flip side, taking territories from and sometimes even killing your teamamtes are also weapons you'll want in your strategic arsenal, but those are done under more specific circumstances and a little more rarely ;)

You'll also want to use game chat or pm's to clarify why you're doing what you are. If you are dropping on your partner you may want to have them fortify one of your territories in a less useful area for them. Make sure you always communicate with your partners

pm's between teammates are NOT secret alliances. You and your teammate(s) are supposed to work together. thanks all

Alright, but if your other teammates are wiped out, do you get all the points?

negative.
if you take out your teammates, which is a valid strategy sometimes0 you and your team share the spoils of war, aka all the points are divied up between all members, even if they died along the way.
