***ATTENTION***
Sorry guys, I decided to make the 6-player tiebreak qualifying matches freestyle simply to make them take less time, because some of them are large maps. The rest of the games will be sequential, as promised. My apologies guys, I just felt bad for taking too long setting it up, so I tried to speed this up a little by doing one freestyle.
I need 96 players to create 16 pools of 6 players apiece. Within those pools, you will play six games. Five 1v1 games against each of your five pool members, and one 6 player standard sequential game. This game will be used as a tiebreaker (if two players tie at a 4-1 record, whoever lasted longer in the 6 player game gets the "top" seed out of that pool).
From there, the tournament will split into two smaller tournaments. One "Winner's Bracket" for the top 2 seeds from each pool, and one "Consolation Bracket" for the remaining 4 players.
Each pool will have it's own map, all coming from the list below.
Both the tournament winner and consolation winner will (hopefully) receive medals if I clear it with the Tournaments Director (no promises here)
[spoiler= Winners Bracket Rules]Once the top two seeds are determined from every pool, the bracket will shape into 2-16 player brackets with each bracket being played on a different map, and brackets will be seeded according to pool. For example, bracket A's top seed will play bracket P's runner up, and bracket B's top seed will play bracket O's runner up, etc. and seeding will go by letters at this point (A's winner = 1, B's winner = 2, etc). From there, it will be single elimination until the finals, where it will be a best two out of three on a map that is not in the list, so that I know neither player played on it[/spoiler]
[spoiler= Consolation Bracket Rules]The rules for this bracket will be the same as the winner's, except that instead of 2-16 player brackets, there will be 4-16 player brackets, and each #3 rank in the pool will play the # 6 rank, and #4's will play #5. Again, the championship will be 2-out-of-3 on a surprise map, to make everything fair.[/spoiler]
