OK... I agree with that.

However, I think the whole reason most people do drugs is that they make you feel good. Not crappy. You only feel crappy if you overdo them... then you feel crappy as you come down.

The second part is tougher. I typically argue that ANYTHING in excess is bad for your body. So yes... exercise in excess is bad, and carrots in excess is bad.

I won't say anything in moderation is good.

I will say most things in moderation are good.

Example... wine. It's an alcohol... so taken in excess it's bad for you. However, in moderation it's been proven to be helpful to the heart and the immune system.

Pot I would argue falls into this category. In excess it is bad... it distracts you from longer term goals, and can have negative effects on the body. There is no evidence that it has bad effects on your body in moderation... and if you are the type of person that stresses a lot in moderation it is a good way to relax or come down from a tough workday.

I used to have friends who started using drugs, and they didn't do it very responsibly. There was nobody giving them proper information thanks to fuckwits like you who believe in using "scare tactics" to get kids off the drugs, nobody telling them how to stay safe, and now almost all of them are dead by drug overdoses. They were good guys too, they just had problems in their life.

I know guys who used to weightlift a lot... now they have aches and pains at a young age because they overdid it.

I know several 'runners' who have bad knees.

I think its the persons choice.. he must control himself, and having the government regulate stuff like that is Not the answer, the only way you will successfully have anything like this work, is if each individual person makes up his mind to do or not to do these particular things..

I wouldn't call heroin "dirty" morphine... it's not. It's a different drug.

They are however in the same family and have similiar effects... both also can be terribly addictive.

Many heroine addicts are people who received morphine for a long period of time in the hospital and they were not "let down" properly by the healthcare system. I think doctors do a better job with this today.

Many people are also addicted to morphine.

i used to love lsd, and E years ago. i had some great times on them, i admit. on a good trip the world was mine to play with. i've also rode a motorbike at over 120mph without a helmet, jumped off a bridge into a rat infested canal and thought a bird i picked up had a beard midway through shagging her (naturally i stopped to check), whilst high. what i'm trying to say is all drugs do is give you the belief that you're invincible, and none of us are.

i have also seen people die from drugs. one over dosed. another got into some heavy shit and couldn't handle it, he drove his car into a wall. a few outward going friends of mine personalities have also changed, for the worse!

Medically your body converts one to the other so they are identical once processed by your body but I'm sure you knew that. The reason it's being called dirty is because you rarely know what people have added to it either for processing or to make a larger batch for re-sale.

No I din't know that... and the minutia of detail you provide is moot towards answering the question.

1) the acetyl molecule in heroin allows heroin to cross the blood-brain barrier more quickly than ordinary morphine. The result is that, in terms of dosage, heroin is about three times stronger.

2) they are both converted to the same form of morphine when they get into the body.

So if you want to say I am wrong, because I said they I different... I will point out that you my friend are wrong as well.

Heroin is not converted into "morphine" as you desribe. Rather both heroine and "morphine" (the morphine gived in a hospital setting) are converted to another form of morphine. Essentially they are both broken down to a common morphine base that the body processes.

So go all crazy with your minute details... but if you want to do that... you realize you open the door.

i've had it once. it took all the pain away and i felt completely at ease. i did however seem to irritate the nurses when i asked them over and over to get rid of all the cats roaming around the ward. i was rather embarrassed the next morning but they seemed to understand.

herman goering was addicted to morphine after he was prescibed it for an injury. it explains quite alot really.
