I'm currently moving house with very limited internet access, so this tournament will resume around September 5th!

Will you be posting updated group tables after the round 3 sunny games? :)

Excellent tournament format by the way - much better than repeatedly playing the same players. =D>

Do players carry over points from Round 5 to the Grand Final round? I'm guessing they don't, and all start the finals on a level playing field - which would be the best option (in case a couple of players have massive points totals that the others cant get near). :ugeek:

I will indeed be posting the results of the Round 3 sunny games as soon as the last 8 have finished! Then we'll be onto the foggy games.

The points will carry over into the Grand Final round; when I started this tournament it was to make it deliberately different from my Grand World Marathon 2009, where any points built don't carry over into the Grand Final.

Based on how the scores are at the moment, I don't think anyone will be streaking ahead - I think the format of playing several different opponents keeps the scores pretty tight. Also, there's the opportunity to win up to 70 points in the Final, so that should be enough to make up any big differences. I just wouldn't want someone to win the tournament just because they're very good at Circus Maximus, but have scraped through the other rounds.

hi again. i'm again contacting you with regard to game # 6439722 (round 4, game # 377 - conquer man).
the 3 remaining players are all tired and are looking for relief.
i have told them that i was contacting you so you can tell us what our options are.
we've gone over 80 rounds and are no where near a resolution.
green is proposing 2 of us team up against the 3rd and then sort things out.
i'm proposing that we examine other options and i have suggested that we call on you to call the game a draw and award each of us a tournament point(s) or after declaring a draw you have the 3 of us play a conquer man map but with escalating spoils.
i am notifying of this because i'm not even sure if either, or both, options are viable.
please post your comment/decision in the game chat so we can all see it.

It may seem as though some of the games have stalled, but they are gradually finishing. I'll send out the games for the 2nd half of Round 4 in the next couple of days.

34 of the 40 games in Round 4 are now complete; the scoreboard has been updated. It's very close in the middle - only the Top 8 will go through to Round 5. So far, the top 4 players are definitely through, and the bottom 4 are definitely out. 8 players are still fighting for 4 places in the next round!

There are now only 5 games in Round 4 still in play! The results of the last game mean that the top 5 players are now safely through to Round 5, and the bottom 5 will definitely be eliminated. 6 players are still fighting for the final 3 places!

Another two games have finished since the last update so there are now only 3 games left in play! The top 7 players are now safely through, and the bottom 6 will be eliminated. Tedspur, negoeien and madman7 are now fighting for the last remaining place in the next round!

1st - goggles paisano - 203.5
2nd - Gilligan - 197.5
