So as far as where I really was the last few days, I've decided to get off my lazy ass and start being a bit more proactive in my every day encounters with people especially with the fairer sex.

Kind of but not really which I think we all know is code for no luck so far.

i wish i could approach women i am shy and timid. i go to clubs and i hate to dance and i dont talk to anyone i wish i could go up to a girls and say hello

It is nerve-wracking if you consider every initial conversation with a girl as a potential beginning of a relationship.
Try just talking to them as fellow-students. Most of them will remain so. One or two might eventually become more.
