Ok, first off, I know literally nothing about this guy. But from what I read in the article, he does sound like a real creep.
But, the pupose of this post is to address the whole, racist-black face thing. Why is it that when Dave Chappelle puts on white face and acts like a sterotypical white guy that it is just comedy, but if a white guy dresses up in black face and acts like a sterotypical black guy, then he is a racist? And don't get me wrong here, I absolutely love Dave and the Chappelle Show. But I have seen this before with a comedian who is white, uses black face, and does sterotypical black voices for comedic effect. People called him a racist. I just don't understand the logic here. It seems like a bit of a double standard. Any thoughts?
And sorry to get off topic, I just thought that this was a valid question.

I take it to be a question of origins. Blackface came about with minstrel shows. Minstrel shows were racist. Whiteface didn't come from an inherently racist genre. Ergo, whiteface is less racist (I wouldn't say always not racist. Let's see how many times I can say racist in a pithy forum post! Also, Glenn Beck) than inherently racist blackface.
Also, if you remember Bamboozled, black people can get in trouble for using blackface too. Even if they're probably using it ironically. That actually wasn't a bad movie, I thought. Just playing with fire.
Also, I need Chappelle, again.

Point of order: T'was not greed that ended the show. Chappelle was offered retarded money to continue doing Chappelle's Show, and declined.
