I haven't seen a map of London on Conquerclub, but I had an idea, with the 32 boroughs of Greater London Plus The City of London, but I understand you'd need more territories so big boroughs like Havering and Hillingdon could be divided, as could many areas south of the river. Then there could be the River Thames dividing the city and there'd be certain crossing points such as The Blackwall Tunnel from Tower Hamlets to Greenwich etc. Congestion charges could also be used as bonuses in certain territories.
I would be thinking the areas be split along these sorts of areas:
North London: Camden, Islington, Westminster, Haringey, Barnet and Enfield East London: Hackney, Tower Hamlets, Newham, Waltham Forest, Barking & Dagenham and Redbridge. South East London: Southwark, Lewisham, Bexley, Bromley, Greenwich and Croydon South West London: Lambeth, Wandsworth, Merton, Sutton, Kingston and Richmond West London: Kensington & Chelsea, Hammersmith, Hounslow, Brent, Ealing, Harrow and Hillingdon.
I don't know how to make maps, but hopefully someone could develop the idea, if there is a plan to make London on conquerclub already, please tell me, thanks.

great idea brooksieb, i was thinking the lodon underground would be cool. but it would probably have to be seperate map as it would look weird if it wasnt Harry Beck's classic map
also in relation to your idea we could add a +1 bounus to either or both the palace westminster(parliament) and the city of lodon(financial heart)
If you do a search of the Melting Pot and/or the Recycling Bin, I'm sure that there have been attempts at maps of London, and especially its Underground system (whose map I believe is copyrighted and protected zealously). Still, your idea has merit, and I expect that the one of the Boys in Blue (the moderators of the Map Foundry) will likely move this topic to the Melting Pot, where map ideas begin their trip to the Final Forge.

I was more thinking the London Boroughs, like Hackney and Westminster, Surely they can't have copyright on them, even if they do you could have famous areas in the boroughs, like Hackney would be Hoxton and Tower Hamlets could be Bethnal Green or something.
I don't know if that would work, normal geographical would work better, you could make it so parts of central london have their own section in the bottom left though taking that idea from battle of iraq for the baghdad territories.
the london boroughs make for a shit map. I looked into a london map some time ago and found a more central area worked better using the thames as a decent way of making a barrier and using some of londons bridges to cross said barrier. The majority of people only know about central london. They won't be able to relate to place names like Havering and merton
Personally options 1 and 2 are my preferences, if we are going to make a london map then we should stick to london, although I lived in essex 18 years of my life I don't think it deserves to be on this map.
Hi - I'd go for option 1 - Central London, but maybe a big Central London so that it includes Canary Wharf (which could have some kind of strategic significance along with 'The City'), Brixton and parts of Hackney and Camden (just cos they are interesting).
It's been tried before. The main issue is that that map is copyrighted. I might be wrong, but I seem to remember that someone contacted tfl about it, and they said no.
