ACTUALLY. The rule of speaking in English ONLY pertains to Diplomatic/strategic discussions between opponents.

If we all wanted to chat about the weather or hack on mods for not understanding the rules or anything else non game related we could do it in French or Swahili or Arabic if we wanted too.

Correct...which is ironic, since if someone doesn't understand the language that is being used, they won't know if it is secret diplomacy or not anyway, so they are likely to report it as was done in this thread. I don't care one way or another, but basically...allowing non-English speaking in English-speaking games as long as it isn't diplomacy-related is bound to INCREASE these sorts of complaints. It's unavoidable.

I dont need to explain but i will just to prove how pathetic WPBRJ really is.

Its a tournament game run by woodruff. A original no spoils game. WPBRJ and I swapped some unpleasantries in the game chat.
We then had an update from Woodruff to say the game wasnt working as a no spoils setting as this one aswell as 2 others people were just stacking. After lots of pms it was agreed the game would be restarted, with one change that being flat rate spoils. So after what seemed an age playing one game it was all in vain as we were restarting... but hey life goes on.
My first turn i posted 'Deja vu' do i really need to explain why deja vu means.
All i can say is WPBRJ not liking my tactics in first game decided to make sure i didnt win the game (he even stated this in game chat) have i accused him of 'intentionally throwing a game' perhaps i should.

In a situation like this I think a little common sense should be used. Use an online translator to see if they are having diplomatic discussions. In this case they weren't. Post in the game chat that you don't understand and to please use English.

not enuff, I'm afraid...I asked Mitusoka to pls spk in English eons ago and it was ignored...the ruling then (LV, I think) was that as long as it wasn't secret diplomacy, players could post in any language they wanted (Japanese in that case)...an on-line translator was also suggested then but it would have been a bit bloody hard in a speed game with all other players having multi-speeds up at the time...basically, I suggest NO-ONE posts these sort of C&A complaints until after the game finishes or it will just happen again and again...
I would say a case of deja vu but then ne habla esplanol...
