ATP Tennis Tour – Tour Finals 2010 - 02 Arena – Mixed Doubles
Congratulations to Leehar & soldierboy
The Tour Finals tournament marks the end of the professional tennis ATP 2010 season.
The four highest ranking parnterships will receive a bye to the quarter-finals.
Each round will be the best of 3 sets.
This is a Doubles tournament, with 12 teams (24 players in total).
Each team must have at least one player with less than 2000 pts.
Players should join as a team. Players joining individually will be randomly assigned partners. If an odd number of players have joined individually at the point of the tournament filling then unfortunately the last individual player joining will be s reserve.
Freemiums welcome- although 3 games-at-a-time.
Details:
This will be a straight knock-out (bracket).
All rounds will be best-of-three sets (games).
Map and settings: British Isles – doubles (obviously), automatic, sequential, chained. The first set will be foggy as players keep their tactics under wraps. As they work one another out, subsequent sets will be sunny. The first two sets will be escalating as tie-breakers may be required. The final set does not go to a tie-break and is therefore no spoils.
Players
There will be 24 players.
Each team must one player with less than 2000 pts at the time of signing-up.
Players must have a 97% attendance record, have played a minimum 25 matches, and not have dropped out from one of my tournaments previously! Freemiums welcome, although beware that the tournament starts as soon as we have enough players and 3-games-at-a-time if you get to the finals.
Players will have 24 hours to join their matches from when the joining PM is sent. Failure to do so will result in a reserve being sought (harsh, I know).
Reserves
All reserves will be sent a PM when an opening occurs. The first reserve to respond will gain a place.
Joining Matches
Players will be informed when they have a match and will have 24 hours to join. If they fail to do so then they will be ejected from the tournament and a reserve will replace them.
Rankings
Team rankings will be determined by adding each players ranking, which is determined as follows:
Appearance in an ATP 2010 Semi-Final: 1 point
Appearance in an ATP 2010 Final: 2 points
Winning an ATP 2010 Event: 4 points
(For season 2011, rankings will be publicised and incorporate perrfermance in previous seasons, with achievements in the near future scoring more than those in the more distant past.)
