After pulling off a real close game against Princeton, Rutgers lost all its steam against a familiar face in UTEP. Feeling comfortable for the first time on their home court, the Scarlet Knights kept it close off the tip, but the starters became progressively worn out as the game dragged on. Bench came in at the end to prevent a bigger blowout, Rutgers is going to need to pull their act together on their home court or risk losing some fans.

The Game 1 results are updated with most finished games tallied...I still have a few to get to tonight...also planning to post a full standings tonight.
Just playing catchup, while trying to wrap up schedules and send out fresh games...hoping to get up to speed over the long weekend, and I'll be adding in some fun features after that.

Villanova Coach, HighlanderAttack is very impressed with his squad--especially returning all five starters from last years Championship team ranked 19th this year--can you tell we have a chip on our shoulder?
Anyway, after getting none of the tips in the game(s) it seems apparent that our full court pressure it too much for the low ranked Boston team. Although it is only half time we do now guarantee we are moving on and starting the season at 2-0 and extending their record to 19 wins in a row dating back to mid to late-season last year.
We are what we repeatedly do. Excellence, therefore, is not an act but a habit.
Quick question, Flex. On the scoring table you have 5 rounds listed as the greatest margin of victory for a game. If a game ends before 5 rounds (as one I was in unfortunately did ) does that get bumped to the 32-16 score anyway, or will some greater margin of victory be enforced? Sorta would like to know as Vermont is trying to make a furious comeback in their season opener at UConn.
Anything 5 or less will be scored as a 5-round win.

There are some freebies in the tourney, so they only have so many slots available...I will be checking results tonight (and every few days throughout the season) and send reminders when necessary.

The Richmond Spiders run and gun the Longhorns on their home court 82-65 (W10, W6, L11, 2pt bonus - Might double check flex but I think it is right). Cazmart was angry at the refs for not calling for fouls as the Spiders as they just went up and down the court without regard in the middle of the game. "These Freshman of mine have to learn that defense and not spectating is what I am paying...oops I mean giving them a Scholarship for!"
The #13 Clemson Tigers back up their preseason ranking by winning the Paradise Jam with three convincing victories. When asked about the early-season tournament win, Coach Dowian2 replied: "We're very happy to come out of here with victories over three tough opponents. However, there's still room for improvement. There's a lot of games left this season; we're just trying to take it one game at a time."
