The SoC Training Academy and its Training Grounds provide basic training for new and old members looking to enhance their game strategy. "Train a Cook today, lose to a Sergeant tomorrow"
Just jump on in, guys. Anyone can join, and you don't need permission. You can join any of the Basic Terminator games, but just be sure to avoid games with students in your classroom.
Make sure you post the games in your classroom if you want feedback from the teachers. =)
mpjh, The new pseudo-private mechanism makes it a little less evident and a little harder to find the standard SoC games than before. This might weed the pool of non-SoC aware participants by a percentage. I'm sure there must be a benefit to it, though. How does the new system help?
Previously, some students had difficulty in finding SoC games to join. Now that we have a label, you can just go to Game Finder, search for "Basic Terminator" under Tournament games, and voila! Games!
Alternately, you can tick Waiting for Games, go to Game label and type society, and you'll see the games there, too.
I agree, though. When I search for random games to join, I usually just tick Public games. Hopefully, once the word spreads on these games, more non-SoC players will join.

Best thing to do is click on the name of players already in the game -- that will take you to their wall and you can see what usergroups they belong to there -- their classroom will be listed. If you have any trouble with this, pm me for help
OK, you need to post a couple of games for teacher help -- we need these posts to tell how you are thinking through the games. Once you gain Lt. rank, or move up a full rank from where you started if you start at Lt or higher, Wacicha can approve your graduation. He looks at you game play to see how you conduct yourself.
Hey, pyro, how you been. You already made major so I don't know what we can do for you. Are you willing to post game turn in a classroom and take advice from a teacher? We could let you in for a few turns and see if you get the esc strategy, then graduate you and put you in the graduate lounge.
What I described is the process we put a new player through to see whether they can, and want, to be an advisor. I am sure you would be great, but we got to jump through the hoops a bit.
Today I won 2 more Terminator games, and that make it 4 wins. I also upgrade my rank to Major:
I guess now I meet the requirements to get graduated and maybe now I will have access to the Private Lounge. Im also looking forward to be a Instructor one day.

Thanks.

You got to use SoC settings in the games on the classic map -- and post the game in your classroom.
