HAHA yeah I was going to include Johnson as the 5th!rockfist wrote:As much as I HATE FDR, I will go with Woodrow Wilson, he was such a professor, he had no backbone, and no common sense. He completely gave in to the British and French at Versaille on the issue of war reparations so he could get agreement for his precious League of Nations. Then being the idiot that he was decided to pick a fight with Henry Cabot Lodge by not letting him bring the treaty into the Senate floor. Both were extremely short sighted moves. I am no fan of the League of Nations or the UN, but it doesn't take much to see that this was politically dumb...and the other well begot WWII - so yeah as bad as FDR was from an economic perspective Wilson was worse from a humanistic perspective.
Its hard to look at Obama or Carter, or another of my least favorites Johnson as doing anything but continuing and elaborating on the bad ideas that FDR started, so its damn close between FDR and Wilson.
You know where a stand with free markets, taxes, spending, and liberty. I don't choose these presidents because republicans are supposed to be on that side. I stand here becuase those are the issues that matter most to me and these 4 presidents have done more damage to those issues than any otherspurgistan wrote:Woah, a Scotty poll only list Democrats as being the worst ever. And we're back.
Btw, it's Andrew Johnson, hands down.
Oh, a Central Bank if it wants to lend money to a government, prefers that the government be able to directly tax the citizens in order to pay back the loans that the Central bank makes to it. It is funny that we have to pay interest on money created by the Central bank which used the original credit extended to it by the Government in the first place.Phatscotty wrote: HAHA yeah I was going to include Johnson as the 5th!
I voted Wilson too, because he broke his promise to keep us out of the war like 6 weeks after the election and allowed the Lusitania to sink by sending it into the wolf's den (its sister ship was a gun boat, they took the guns off but it was loaded with ammo and still looked like a gunboat)
and, the income tax started under Wilson too. They promised it would never go over 5%.![]()

Jackson can go up there too, though. As long as we're knocking Wilson for not allowing black people to die for a state that didn't give two shits about them (as we should, no question), we could probably indict Jackson for, you know, killing lots of the people who were here before white people stole it.muy_thaiguy wrote:Oh, my mistake. CreepersWiener wrote:I have to agree, Wilson was the worst. As Night Strike made evident that all of the other president's included on the list were of the school of Wilsonian thinking. When people vote for presidents (or any other legislative candidate), they should do some homework to see how Wilsonian their points of view are.
GW was very Wilsonian in his philosophy. If conservatives would have realized this early on, they would have never voted the guy in. But it was either Wilsonian Bush, or Wilsonian Gore. That are the choices that you are given in America. This is why the Tea Party is becoming such a huge thing, and I really think Ron Paul was the one to start the "wake up" process.
When it comes to Democrats and Republicans, just take a look at their policies (don't listen to what comes out of their mouths). You will find that each is basically the same. Democrats are seeing that with Barrack Obama right now. Barrack just said things to get you to believe in him, but then once he became POTUS, his stance changed to better reflect the ongoing executive agenda laid down by Woodrow Wilson almost a hundred years ago!
Jackson was much easier to justify during a time when settlers were getting scalped. I realize the issue there, but it is not fair to judge 1816-1830 through the eyes of 2010.spurgistan wrote:Jackson can go up there too, though. Yeah, I voted for Wilson.

That bill's not big enough for how much he wanted to spend (well, take from the rich to spend).Phatscotty wrote:Fitting he's on the 100k bill....no?
