I know the rules. Instead of being a dick and threatening someone that your going to report them he could have simply informed him about the rules and moved on, and yes people really do need to be told that its not OK to call someone a fag. Comeon most people that join this site expect a little trash talking. The word fag is so over used in society its the same as calling someone a loser. Does that make it OK, no, but I don't think this deserves a "step up the escalating ladder for offenses"

I agree with Alex, I think Herkman is a little sensitive.. if it was full on continued bigotry style abuse then it should be reported as such; however, this appears to be just trash talk. If every incident like this was reported the the MODs wouldnt be able to keep up.
Herkmans regular appearance on these forums is quite entertaining and I now often have a look to see which direction his pacifier has flown out of the pram That said, some of his reports are valid and I dont think he should be deterred from continuing.

Oh, I personally think theherkman is a whiney-ass baby who really needs to get some control of his spurious reporting. But not in this particular instance.

Yeah, and I bet a few users have just clicked the box that says "I will only create 1 account", not really reading what it says. When signing up to websites, those boxes usually say the same thing. Sometimes I don't even read what they say and click on them.

That users very easily could miss the "don't create a multi"? And that just because you don't know a rule doesn't mean you get excluded from it at first.
But, that's my opinion.

personally i would just warn him about the rules and not have it count against him however, because CC does have a guidelines i know he will receive a warning. Not everyone finds fag as offensive as other and by punishing him he could feel like he was punished for doing nothing wrong. all i was trying to say

Just as some people not find the 'n' word offensive, some also do not find 'fag' offensive. However, there are those on this site that do take offensive to one, either, or both of those words -- along with a couple other select few. There can't be special cases where it's 'ok' in one situation but isn't in another.

How is "fag" (as it was used in the reference here) ANY different in terms of bigotry than "nigger" is? Both absolutely are examples of "true bigotry".

Way too sensitive.. OK I agree in theory it is a bigoted comment, however, my perception of it in the context of where and how it came up was a trash slur which, again in my opinion, more than likely warrants nothing more than a moderator telling him he was in danger of crossing the line.. a warning in this case seems overkill.
Im surprised you are that offended by an opinion.. and thats all it is.. and whilst Im hardly gutted about being on your foe list its still an over-reaction!
