It all evens out in the long run. The long run is a long time. I see posts like this:
"I checked my 31 active games a couple days back. My teams had 1st move in 8 of them"
..and I just shake my head. Focus on the part you can control. Its about making the right decisons. Forget the outcome. As long as you consistently make better decisions than your opponents, you will come out on top.
I think the problem is that if you roll the same number the defender wins. Like, if you both get a 4, the defender wins. This changes the odds in favor of the defender.

Well, the attacker already has an advantage rolling 3 dice versus 2 (Unless you are attacking 3v or 2v), why give the attacker a bigger advantage? Just so people stop going crazy about the dice?

Fixed.
This post was made by jefjef who should be on your ignore list.

No, it does NOT change the odds in favor of the defender. It DOES lessen the strength of the attacker's odds, but the attacker is still favored.

Did you take into account that theres only a 6.7% chance of rolling a 1? the dice numbers skew the odds way more than defenders winning a tie. you should do some research before you say the attacker is favored man

so you are saying give more advantage to the attacker? Considering a lot of times dice are rolled 3v2, there's an advantage to the attacker. Now we should give the advantage of dice too?
I'm guessing you'd hate a board game similarly close to this gaming website called Risk, since it uses this type of defending as well.

you do realize that the attacker has the advantage when rolling 3-2 right?

That is flat-out wrong. There is a 16.7% (approximately) chance of rolling a 1. Which is precisely the same percentage of rolling each of the other sides of the die.

I should do some research? That's pretty funny...you should take a course in statistics before you say the attacker is NOT favored.

Cute, but.. doesn't answer the games where both sides attackers are getting bad dice.

Sure it does. It's right there. If you're getting bad dice, then your opponent is getting good dice. You see, contrary to some folks' idiotic opinions, it's NOT all about offensive dice. Defensive dice count too! I know, what a concept.

I didn't read through all seven pages. But of course, is one person is getting bad dice, then the other is getting good dice.
But what about when the game basically MAKES you lose for 2 straight weeks? There are plenty of games I should have won. In the last day alone i have lost ridiculous dice. I split my deployments, making sure I attack with at least 4 troops. I play ALL maps. I play ALL styles. I had 89 troops to take 29 troops and LOST, which was critical cause I needed the cards.
Simply that I get bad luck and someone else gets good luck, does not explain it.

thats not bad luck but bad strategy or even worse planning.. and yea it happens. you think average or better dice will save the day, but 10-10 you are supposed to loose that... 89-29 is not something you will loose every single time, but yea sometimes it happens.

Actually, it DOES explain it. Quite well, even.

In 3v2 battles, people assume that the attacker has the advantage, but I think the fact the defender dice win on tied dice may be a contributing factor
Here is probability table from a COMPLETELY DIFFERENT GAME WITH NO TIES AT ALL TO CONQUER CLUB but with a similar dice rolling system BY PURE COINCIDENCE
From that at least you can see it is ill advised if you lost your deployed troops at the start of your opening turn to then just blindly attack 3v3 locations, as the probablilities are stacked against you.
