I know it's just a rough draft, but it looks like a kids version of the D-Day beach landings. Why not just do the real thing and get a lot more interest in the process.

Because i have no skills whatsoever as a map maker.....but will learn if people think it will this map will work

I also only have paint on my computer...So would need to get some programs...

So if anybody has any tips on what i should using that would be great....

I particulary like keyogi's, rubens and mibi's visuals...

What do you guys use?

Yeah it does, and while it's not necessarily a bad idea, you will need to do a lot more work if you want any support for it.

I use Photoshop, it works best for me because I know it and it provides limitless possibilities. If you're willing to put in the hard work to get this thing where it needs to go, then go for it.

However, you need to understand that you must have some sort of artistic skills at a basic level that you can transfer into a graphics application. It's just my opinion, but I see no point in trying to make a map if for example you can't draw a nice looking tree on paper. This isn't directed at you specificly, I'm just sick of seeing so many new maps lately from people that have no artistic talent. I really don't mean to offend with my comments, but I feel if this is the case with you, you'd be better off trying to scout some graphic talent from the foundry to help you out. Sort of like what Coleman has done. 8)

hahaha oaktown lol....

THanks keyogi...I have on artistic talent at all im afraid...I can draw a banana.Im sure andy would like that.

But i hold you map makers in high esteem and thought i would plunge into the realm of a map maker in CC. I have downloaded photoshop and am going to give it....So i will have a more visual map out very soon...

This map could take a year to make but i think its quite a good idea and if i fail visually to pull it off and some more experienced map maker would want to take it over thats cool.

Visually im looking to go where mibi has gone with his map.

Like Keyogi said, if you haven't the tools or the talents, sometimes it's best to not try, unless you can get someone to help out in the process.

If i understand, you want to create map of D-day with landing boats, beaches, birbe wire, bunkers, and last land with trenches. And all these from bird perspective.

First, go to GOOGLe and searc for images of these thing, to know how hes looks.
We can not create map if we dont know how these object look.

If you guys are going to dicuss development of the map wouldn't it be better to keep it in PM, rather than bumping this thread with meaningless posts?

Also, I suggest those anti-tank barriers as apposed to barbed wire.
