Good luck Monkis. This should be a great battle to the end. Looking forward to losing more points to Skillfull and winning them back from Seul.

I hope it's that close. I'd love for this to come down the wire (just flip the score) ;)

Whoah, that's a lot of dubs. Kind of a retro setup if you ask me...

I think this one will be real close. I'm going for 30-30 after the 60 games, and then 4-3 to Empire in the tie breakers :!: 8-)

And good luck to both teams, of course! :D

lol. Dick.

Edit: After seeing the set up for some other recent challenges, it strikes me that you might be serious, not just giving me a hard time because the amount of doubles was a point of contention in getting this set up.

Actually I was serious. Most "modern" challenges are weighted more on trips and quads as most people have found out it's a better way to proove the quality of team play. Dubs are far more relying on luck when it comes to drop and first turn advantage (dice goes without saying). I don't know much about your pre-setup discussion with the Monkis, but it seems like I am on your side, Dick ;)

Btw. Seems like several of the Empire members still have avatars made for an old KORT-challenge. Shouldn't they be updated with something monkey-like now? O:)

I think it is time for Empire to shine, but I think this will go like
1st batch - Emp leading
2nd batch - tied
3rd batch - TSM leading

Result: 32-28 TSM.

Yes. Somewhere between the Monkis and the Dragoons. Not sure what kind of pic would be good for the dragoons though except, perhaps

It's the setup both clans can live with. It will be a lot of fun. A lot of the monki's enjoy dubs most, so good for them for wanting to play what's fun for them, and for making fun the priority. :)

first of all, good luck Empire, i´m happy we managed to find a compromise for the setup. i´m looking forward to this challenge , will be very interesting, Empire is a very good clan, lot of respect for them.

now about all the discussions about the setup.

haha, good joke .... wait ... are you really serious?

ok, let´s see the some facts:

our last clan war was against Thota, 80 games, 32 doubles, 24 triples , 24 quads
that´s 40% doubles, 30% triples, 30% quads
i can´t remember anybody said that would be a lot of doubles.
now we have 22/19/19, that´s 36,7% doubles

so 40% is ok, but 36,7% is too much?

oh, and doubles are about luck? have you looked at the setup of the "modern clan wars"? many of them include 1v1 games. Do 1v1 games show better team play ability of a clan? Is 1v1 less about luck than doubles?

One more question: have you ever played quads on small standard maps? THAT is more about luck imo than doubles on small maps.
And if you talk about big maps: i think they are less about luck than small maps. Doodle quad is lottery, World 2.1 double gives an advantage to the team which goes first, but it´s not an autowin. You don´t lose just to the start advantage on such a map in a double.
But in a quad on small maps, first round kills are possible with lucky dice.

Maybe some people didn´t notice that it was TSM who tried to ban the luck options from clan war first.
In the beginning, we tried to do to much here and banned too small maps from clan wars, but we got a lot of shit for that, and i guess it should be possible indeed to play all maps.
It was me who invented the 12 hour fog rule to give same chances to both teams in fog games, so it´s less about the going first and having first look advantage. Don´t tell us that we try to pick options which are based on luck primary. That´s simply ridiculous, and i think nobody of Empire believes that we try to beat them with luck based games.

And, seriously, where have you been last winter if you believe 40% doubles is too much and all about luck? Oh, and should we add 1v1 games to prove our teamplay ability?

You can make your own thread about your opinion about clan war settings, luck options etc, but don´t use this thread for it please. Empire and TSM agreed to these rules, it´s not against any rules, so we will do it with these rules, no matter if other people believe we asked for these rules to make best use of our luck. But why should we ban "manual" then?

now, merry x-mas to everybody, and a great clan war in january.

Alright I'm just messing with you guys. This will be a good battle, I predict 37-23 us. Love ya Denise :]

it looks like everyone's predictions have EMPIRE as the underdog. I believe that is exactly how we'd like it! Good luck to both clans. This will surely be a historic battle for CC.

Happy Holidays to all in the realm!
