The votes acquired fast, but I wouldn't say that he was in any danger of being lynched. All of those votes have been joke votes until that moment and while I can understand it being concerning (I probably would have been a bit concerned myself), but I still would say that his response was stronger than anyone would have expected.
Not saying he's our Day 1 lynch and that's it, but as off now, we don't have any better leads.

Actally at the time of the quote he was at L-6 with 4 votes. 4 votes, really concerning. ;3 Especially when you consider it was a joke wagon, and that if he were to actually be lynched for that reason the town would be a bunch of tards. I do agree that the bw is somewhat suspcious in itself but not that much when you consider the timezel.

Well, there were actually 6 votes on TWO and he was L-4. Still doesn't change the facts, IMHO.

I'd be concerned. Perhaps that comes from paranoia, or perhaps that comes from all the times I've ended up lynched after a 'joke' bandwagon. I don't trust people not to be idiots.

Concerned? Yes. Shocked and a bit into panic? No, not really.
Actually, Fir was almost right - TWO had 3 votes on him when he made his comment about claim back-firing.

No at the time of the quote. look back at when he said the quote. It was after the quote that TWO was voted by Sens and some other dude.
Fastpost: Yes that is quote, however inbetween that quote and the quote I used, a vote was made.

Look, we have to make a somewhat semi-random lynch for D1. Why not lynch the player who claims to be mafia? Screw the WIFOM/joke vote and lynch his ass. The only other thing to consider is if we will gain any knowledge from it... Knowing that most voted him as a joke...

Still a bit too early to lynch just yet, but some pressure wouldn't hurt. As of now, we don't have any better leads, so I'll stick here, unless something better comes up.
@ CK - sens? Him being here for a while doesn't change a thing - he still won't be too rational or won't contribute too much.

The joke didn't backfire...
It kickstarted an albeit joking bandwagon on me...On day one, there's a decent likelyhood that this will have me pinned in a corner and claiming within the next couple of pages. I'm not concerned about being lynched [unless some idiot hammers], but I don't want a repeat of Unmafia where four or five pro-town roles were unearthed on day 1 . . .
He looks rather confident he wouldn't die, so this thing might have been blown out of proportion. TWO is easily confused but something still strikes me as odd as to go out of your way and joke claim a mafia role in red though. Maybe he's actually Xander, Jester?

To explain the role, I claimed the author of the book series "Twilight". I figured it would be mildly amusing, nothing more. I panicked because I'd rather not have a repeat of unmafia where we ended up getting a lot of pro-town claims over "joke" bandwagons. Admittedly, the claim was a rather dumbass Idea, but I thought more people would catch the reference [admittedly, I wouldn't have, so I'm not sure why I thought that]...

unvote TWO
And now people are laughing at me for not contributing much. Well right now, what can I contribute? Stop complaining. You haven't seen the other side of me.

LMAO. Originally I thought you were claiming the godmother role from the Briarsburg game, but this is even better XD
Honestly I think the TWO bandwagon is ridiculous. I consider joke bandwagons a great place for scum to cluster - after all, it's a joke vote! We all know how relentless some people here can be even when it's a joke bandwagon - "We're already here so may as well carry on, someone has to be targeted". I don't thin TWO has been scummy so far, I find those carrying on with the 'pressure mounting' to be scummier.
Knock it off or I'll.. I'll... type in cyan?

this post was made after I and Commander jumped on his joke claim. Read the posts:

Also obvously a joke...
So why the heavy response? I don't know the guy as a player so I don't know what reaction is "normal" for him but any other player, I'd be thinking he were afraid of our 2 mean(ingless, lol) little critting votes. And that's scummy.
Perhaps I needed to have looked at his posts as someone who has not become accustomed to his behaviour.
The post you quoted also seemed to be a joke response. TWO has a habit of making comments that seem to pick on himself, make exaggerated comments and he generally appears scummy with his posts. Of course, those that are accustomed to him should know this and be able to pick apart him doing his usual routine and when he's being extra suspicious - I'm finding Fircoal to be more suspicious than TWO is.

So if the player is usually acting suspiciously, we should just turn a blind eye? Give him a sens-pass? Nope, sorry, don't agree with that. TWO had a few joke votes and no pressure and the reaction was much more than was called upon. I'm not suggesting we lynch him and that we set it up, but as of now I don't see any reasons to unvote. He has been the scummiest person so far and I will not unvote just to fit someone's needs. Should another person come out with something out of the ordinary, this would change.
Nope, not what I am suggestion at all. 'Suspiciously' all depends on what you find to be suspicious behaviour. If someone has a usual way of acting and then they suddenly change how they act, then that is suspicious. If someone is acting in a manner that you find to be common from them then it is not really that suspicious. What I do find suspicious is someone calling another out on supposedly suspicious behaviour, when they know it to be characteristically normal behaviour from that person. (Chu on Two) All in all, I don't actually think Two's comments were scummy to begin with - even if he didn't have a prior history of such remarks. To me it just looks like some joke comments that fell flat.
Anyway, may as well join the party. vote chu

I don't think I've ever played with TWO before, so I wouldn't now. Fir has been a bit interesting, but this actually does seem more like the regular Fir (then again, I probably have like 2/3 games with him). Basically, I am usually rather consistent and once I find a person that I consider the scummiest at the moment, I stay consistent, unless something else comes up. I understand what you're saying, but I still think that was unneeded. Besides, a reference from Twillight? He should be killed just for that
Commander9 wrote:Besides, a reference from Twillight? He should be killed just for that
You are wise beyond your years, young grasshopper.
'Twas a reference to the books, not the movies. The movies are worse, but that doesn't mean the books aren't horrible. In fact the books are worse, since they also elaborate on the feelings of a bunch of protagonists.
Mind you, I never read them - I glanced at them. I looked away quickly and had my sister tell my why not to read them
