A great game... MVP? Auburn's red zone defense. =D>

Imagine the drama IF the Ducks had kicked a field goal
instead of going for it and giving the ball up on downs
earlier in the 4th Quarter.

Hey muy_thai, a 5th consecutive National Title won by an SEC team.

It would have been drama but I'm always of the position that you should go for it at the 1 yard line especially when trailing by 8. It would have also been big if auburn had gone for 2 earlier in the game making it either 15-11 or 17-11 that could have had huge consequences later on. Never thought it would be a defensive showcase...

Hey muy_thai, a 5th consecutive National Title won by an SEC team.

And still 2 undefeated teams at the end of the year. BCS=Sham.

Congrats to the BCS Champion Auburn, and Congrats to Co-National Champions TCU and Auburn. Now only if they would play.

I suppose there's no chance of Oregon falling down to 6th in a poll...<grin>

Hey, Oregon dropping to #3 in a final poll makes a whole shitload of sense if they were playing for the national championship.

On a related note: Dear BCS, just do a 16 team playoff and make those games the "bowl" games already for fucks sake. There's a month-plus of idle time and games nobody cares about where there could be four more weekends of college football that would actually mean something.

Did anyone actually care about more than 3 of those lame bowl games? If you say you did, you're lying.

I did about all 5 MWC games. And the Pinstripe Bowl, up until that stupid "excessive celebraion" call was pretty good. And I had to watch the Kraft Bowl because I had family go there (aunt's an alumni of Nevada). Otherwise, not really.

I wouldn't say I "cared about" more than three of them...but I did enjoy watching almost all of them. I can't say I would particularly "care about" watching a 16-team playoff any more than I did the bowl games, to be honest.

Bowls I cared about in no particular order:

1. Liberty Bowl-I'm a georgia fan no surprise
2. BCS National Championship-I shouldn't have to explain this one
3. The orange bowl-two programs I'm moderately interested in.
4. Sugar bowl-I hate ohio state but that just made the match up more interesting
5. Rose Bowl-I may be an SEC fan but I do like to see teams like boise and TCU succeed.

And there are 5-7 more I could mention.

This year had pretty poor match-ups I think. Few were really that interesting to me.
