I don't have the attention span to do it at school. How do you manage doing it at your house? Let me in on your secrets.
Make your mother nag
At the mmoment my mom could care less about what grades I get. I think I have like 4 Cs I will get them up to As then stop trying again. Let me in on another secret

I dunno, basically all I do is study. It's not out of my own free will it's my mum that pushes me. It will be even worse this year, I have my first national exam... If I don't get into a good secondary school I'm dead

I'm glad the worst tests I needed to sit through were the WKCE's and the ACT, which were both complete jokes. I don't know how people can do so bad in these. I would hate the more eastern way of education where its big ridiculous tests that you spend years getting ready for, then when you get to the next level it's the same thing over again.

Hey man, I have the SAT and ACT comin up next year, and you can't fall asleep during them. If you do, that pretty much means you get to go to a pretty crappy college.

Well I agree with the eastern exams suck thing. The basis has shifted from education to doing well in these. Your whole life is decided in a 1 month period by 3 numbers. It's pointless. No one CARES a shit about whether you learn anything, only if you do well. Composition? It's about creativity right? Well I dunno about the States but here in Singapore only lower end students use "creativity". The only hope of you doing well is that you have to memorise whole paragraphs from different places then put them together.
