Pedro, please don't take this the wrong way...I don't mean it in a bad way. However, isn't it just possible that the dice change that occurred actually made the dice more random (an improvmement), but because your previous strategy accounted for the way the old dice performed, that your old strategy needs to be tweaked a bit? I guess what I'm saying is...just because your old strategy worked with the way the dice were previously doesn't necessarily mean that your old strategy is the best strategy. It was just the best strategy for the way the dice were set up previously.Pedronicus wrote:map rank me fucktard and look at the chart. I have yet to see anyone provide any concrete evidence.
If any of my team mates show up in this thread they would be able to explain that it's amazing i manage to have a hat, even more incredible that i managed to make brig.Woodruff wrote:
Also, I just have to point out the ironic quality in a hat-wearer complaining so vehemently about the dice that you're ready to leave, as if you wouldn't be at that rank still if it weren't for the dice.
This is an idiotic statement. An economic downturn can hit a bum and a billionaire. Just because a billionaire has more money afterward doesn't mean he wasn't negatively impacted by the economic downturn (and perhaps even more so than the bum).Woodruff wrote: Also, I just have to point out the ironic quality in a hat-wearer complaining so vehemently about the dice that you're ready to leave, as if you wouldn't be at that rank still if it weren't for the dice.

If they were as bad as Pedro claims, he quite simply wouldn't be a hat-wearer any longer. The points simply wouldn't last.trapyoung wrote:This is an idiotic statement. Pretending that I dismissed any strategy or skill Pedro employs while I pointed out the irony of the situation is a far better example of a stupid statement. In fact, I did just the opposite of what you're attempting to claim, but you managed to delete that portion of my post. Good work.trapyoung wrote:I'll vouch for Pedro, his dice blow. But to claim his complaint is ironic is to completely dismiss any strategy or skill he employs in games and attribute nearly all of it to mere luck which has apparently in your eyes run its course.
Like I said, stupid statement.
Yeah why merge this one and not all the dice-bitching threads? At least stay consistent.WestWind wrote:Lol @ this being merged. Nice way to lose even more respect for the site.
I'm forced to play team games to offset my dice. there is no point in me playing a non team game.Woodruff wrote:

+1 almost all (90-95%) of my games are team games. If they werent i would have a lower rank, team game help minimize the effects of the dice.Pedronicus wrote:I'm forced to play team games to offset my dice. there is no point in me playing a non team game.Woodruff wrote:

Now this bit is interesting. We all know lack changed the way the dice files were interrogated. This is the first time I have seen this suggestion aired, that dice results have changed to become more random. Seems to me there are 3 possible outcomes of lack changing the interrogation of the dice files:Woodruff wrote:Pedro, please don't take this the wrong way...I don't mean it in a bad way. It's like being a wild Pokémon and CC's the jackass trainer trying to catch you. He throws a ball at you and you break free, then you realize he's got an entire sack of balls to throw. So it's either struggle through the barrage of balls, or submit to him.TheForgivenOne wrote:I quit CC last night... but decided to log back on this morning...
Not quite:laughingcavalier wrote: 3. The dice have become "more truly random" - woodie's the first person I know to have suggested this

Goodbye CC - f*ck the bonus drops you won't do anything about and the rest of the bullshit people complain about and nothing ever comes of.
Too bad - the potential was there ... as more and more long timers fall off the map and find better places to spend their money, maybe you'll realize.

I left. Lasted about three months, as I recall.maasman wrote:I guess I could be considered a "long timer," and I never plan on leaving.donkeymile wrote:Up 700 points in a matter of months - somewhat good strategy and somewhat good dice
