I don't care if it's racist, white people can't rap.
Damn it, AoG. I think this is the first time I've ever disagreed with you.

People often attribute this to the fact that Eminem is white... but truly and honestly, I am the least race-conscious person you'll meet, for better or worse. I know that I don't discriminate based on color... and yet there is still the nagging fact that I enjoy Eminem's music so much more than other rappers'. Perhaps it's in his voice? Perhaps I like rap coming from a white person's voice, even if I do not discriminate based on color? Or maybe his music really is that great... it's difficult for me to understand.
Honestly, I wish he was black, so I wouldn't feel so bad about listening to him, you know? When you're a white guy and you say you like Eminem, people automatically make assumptions... they think that I only like Eminem because he's white, when I actually couldn't give a f*ck about that. All I care about is enjoying the music I'm listening to.
+22. Those are all great songs. And I think it has to do a lot with his voice. He has a unique voice in the world of rap. Plus, his lyrics are normally emotionally charged and usually quite relatable. Instead of rapping about bling and bitches, Em usually raps about real world stuff, like his life and his music, his ups and downs, things that most people can relate to. And don't get me wrong, I enjoy lots of different rap. My favorites are, in no particular order, Tupac, Eminem, Biggie, Bone Thugs, NWA, Cyprus Hill and the Flobots. That last group isn't really rap, more hip hop, but they are badass too.
Anybody who doesn't like Eminem is a racist. There, I said it. And also, probably a hermaphrodite as well.
