From what's there, all I see is asking to leave an empty spot for a card. It probably should be in the gamechat of the game they were in, but im not sure if thats really "diplomacy". Maybe though...

Not at all, most people never check chat on a regular basis and might miss it, so posting on someone's wall something like that will get there attention.

Tough noogies. If that excuse is accepted, then it must be accepted for all secret diplomacy.
jefjef wrote:Asking for a card spot is a diplomacy. It's a strategic request. Should only have been in game chat. Only thing on wall should have been a "Please see chat in game #######". Nothing else.
Agreed.

I think bruce & jefjef said the same thing here.
I'm not sure how you came to that conclusion.

Me either. They seem to have conflicting opinions.. I personally think it secret diplomacy, but I like Mc Lor so I'm keeping out of it.Oops did I write that out loud lol.
Well, if you keep bruce's comment in context with the reply to 40kguy, he seems to be supporting the idea of posting in game chat then wall to get their attention. Maybe I misread it.
I think Mc Lor could probably do with a reminder that its -always- best to avoid posting anything on a wall with a game ongoing, the accusation itself is pretty ridiculous. Reminding people to leave 1s for easy cards in an esc game isn't a secret alliance, its a reminder of basic strategy. Spamming out all games McLor is in with a warning, then trying to get him busted is kind of dumb. I've played dozens and dozens of games with Mc Lor and never seen anything dubious with him.
Then you're not looking damn hard...posting on walls rather than in game chat IS secret diplomacy....end of story..I've kept out of this coz in thousands of games McLor is the only dubious character I've encountered and foed...sure you get loud mouthed idiots but their play reflects that...in this case McLor is guilty of breaking ground rules no matter how minor his friends see that to be...he's played enough to know better so let him now be taught better...
He doesn't even to say a game number or even a map. If he said "give me an easy card spot in 123456" or "give me an easy card spot in south america" then I guess some could think it was diplomacy. All he has done is remind someone of basic strategy in escalating games. How the hell can this be seen as secret diplomacy???

stop and think a min about this comment.
so if i am in a speed game with another 3 players and wall them during the game saying.
"lets take pink out as he a low rank."
by what you have just said this is not secret diplomacy because i have not said the game no or what map the rule for secret diplomacy is this.
Rule #2 on the site states that all diplomatic discussions MUST take place within the Game Chat in English or a language all players can understand. This includes proposing alliances and discussing the strategies of those alliances. Keep this in mind because players who violate it may find themselves Blocked from playing with each other.
asking for a place to card spot is diplomacy between 2 players so should be in game chat. and Mc lor should know this due to the fact he has been warned previously.
eddie said it before I did, but for consistency, rule adhering is probably best. It is talk about an active game that both players are in, although it isn't your typical diplomacy. However, due to the rather small nature of what happened, I would think that just a PM from a MH saying "Don't do that" would suffice. Then, if he were to continue, it would go from there.

This is called "working as hard as you possibly can to excuse something".

was the game escalating etc other players will be taking out 3's or 2's to get a card spot he is asking for a save of troups by a player moving his out the way. maybe the other players could of used this area as well. so should of been in game chat.
