Post by SolidWolf34 »

I believe after i started playing conquer club, i have found that I've learned more about where countries are located, Continents, and major cities around the world, at the same time the Ranks, it gave me the chance to learn the right order of how the Military uses it, Well Done Conquer Club!

I was pretty good at geography anyway, at least good enough to know that Cheshire isn't ONLY a cat and stuff like that...

There is a lot more to geography than just the names of countries and where they are located. Not to mention the fact that not even World 2.0 has all of the countries on it, let alone the rest of the map. Also, a lot of the proportions are wrong. If you look at the N. America map, Canada is tiny, when really, it's bigger than the U.S. I also don't believe that the ranks are correct (as I have seen numerous threads about them being incorrect, and wanting them changed) so really, CC isn't educational at all for me.

O and I really hate queee1's posts  :P

Very Interesting!, well i think the Major Countries around the the world, Places like Mongolia, Kamatcha, Irkutsk, and such, we really never hear about them, but i think seeing them on the Classic map which i play the most, is interesting, it makes us wanna Google them and see what these places are

The ranks ARE correct. Noone ever said they would be the military ranks of YOUR country.

In all probability the point the person was trying to make is that the ranks in CC do not model the ranks of ANY country or ANY service. So it's hard to identify the educational benefit of knowing CC's ranks outside of CC. I believe that is what was being discussed.

I know exactly what you mean, especially since World 2.0 was invented. For instance, the other day in history class we were doing about Japan in the second world war and all where they invaded and I just that of the World 2.0 Map and knew that they had invaded Sumatra and Brunei and so on (after there being so much controversy over the border - fixed now).

Not only that but in the forums I've learned some new crazily genius words from the more literate of us. lol

You HAVE, I mean HAVE to be kidding me! Middle Earth DOESN'T exist. He made a joke. Middle Earth was created by J.R.R Tolkien and is PURE fiction. NOWHERE on Earth does that place exist, with the Orcs, Elves, and magic, strange Gods, and Demons. NOWHERE!

I don't know. This guy has made some pretty stupid comments and threads. Like the one in Flame Wars where he told everybody to lay off of him, but he reffered to himself in the third person. It was pretty weird.
