Why does everything have to be so damn difficult?
Just play some games and have a some fun...for fucks sake.
Everything is so fucking serious and heatedly debated around here, hell, just start some games with the people that want to play and be done with it for crying out loud. Everyone's opinion doesn't fucking matter all the time, whomever's idea it was holds all the cards and makes all the decisions......DONE! Everyone else, play or don't play in accordance or start your own fucking tourney.

We're not quite done with the rankings yet but it occurs to me that a tie is possible. Currently teams are going to be ranked on their mean grade. For a first tiebreaker we'll take the median and for a second tiebreaker we'll take the team with the best top 3 rankings, then best top 6 then top 9. Hopefully that'll break any and all ties at that point (I have not yet looked)

I want to make sure I'm interpreting map usage correctly:

"Each clan may use the same map only twice in its home set and may not use Classic more than once (since it will also be used for the 41st game). If a map is repeated within the rules the players must be different in each series."

Suppose I have two players that choose Arms Race as their home map [Call them A and B], and two players from the opponents choose Arms Race as their home map [Call them C and D].

From how I'm reading this rule, this would be okay:
A vs C
B vs D
C vs B
D vs A

But this wouldn't:
A vs C
B vs D
C vs A
D vs B

And this wouldn't:
A vs C
B vs D
C vs A
D vs A

Am I getting this right?

This is the way I read it. If I play AoR1 in our home sets I can only do it in one home set. But if the other clan throws two AoR1 series at us I can play in both of those. So 3 times.

yes, the restriction is on how you can create your own home games. You can throw whoever you want at the road games even if they played you on your home maps (as long as you're staying under 5 sets per player). So Benga, Chem and LV have it right here.

The Legion being so low ranked surprised me. They would have been my #1 (including my clan). They started as all 1v1 players back in the day, and I know they still have a hell of a lot of studs there.

The ranks seem to based on current clan setups (an argument GK and I had). A lot of the clan players who are commonly winning 1v1 tournaments are not in the top 4 clans rated here. There are some really good 1v1 player depth in clans like Legion and I suspect the ratings will not play out like CCup1. We should probably have Bart tell us at the end how close or far off each team's rankings were.

I based mine off the strength of 1 v 1 players. Empire, ID, G1, Legion, and Nemesis all have very good ones and they were my top 5.

Its definitely interesting to see the rankings. Some based on a perceived 1v1 strength, others on clan strength. The lesser known clans tended to finish towards the bottom but that doesn't mean they can't impress and win a round or two.

All clans should have their instructions at this point. I see 3 of the 4 war threads are up right now. I'll PM the 4th today to see their status.

Since this is more of an NHL-style system (as opposed to a normal bracket) it's harder to show how it will progress since it re-seeds after the first round. But here's my unofficial response. Leave it to Bart to correct any mistakes.
