After much deliberation it was a very close decision, the admins have finally decided on a winning poem and a few honorable mentions I want to thank everyone who entered a poem, and thankyou for spreading the love on Conquer Club!

I noticed, too late, that there was a contest to write a short po’m, CC’s praise to sing.
Alas, woe is me, for it was not to be (and perhaps ‘twas my newbiness that was to blame),
But in spite of my tardiness, I resolve now to submit my own poem to you, just the same.

Our Obsession
Oh beautiful Conquer Club, site of the brave,
Where every wee lass and each strapping knave,
Can all come together and join in the fun
Of rolling the dice to vanquish someone.
The joy, yea, the thrill of sweet victory
Is so keen and so timeless, even for me,
A meek, lowly newbie who cannot ignore
Nor grasp, breadth and depth, all CC has in store:
The volume of maps and various ways
To play on this site, I could go on for days.
And yet, as my head still continues to spin
From all that I’ve found on this site, deep within
I know it is only the start; there’s much more!
My games are limited to a max of four.
I have yet to enter the Premium bliss,
Especially since this contest I missed.

But, nevertheless, I will steady my course,
And continue to battle with my little force.
I’m determined to grow and advance in this game
And soon people on this site will know my name!
