Hehe. I hate doing the XML for the map. That's the problem.

Probably when I finish that someone will bring up some other graphic problem as well so don't expect this to be quenched anytime soon. Sorry about that mate!

Per request of Ruben:

Which colour scheme for the continents do you want? (Map versions can be viewed on page 1)

Version 4.17A (original)
52% [ 27 ]
Version 4.17B (gradients)
39% [ 20 ]
None of them. Change the colour scheme.
7% [ 4 ]

Total Votes : 51

Yes that's right. However if there is some kind soul out there who would be willing to finish the XML for me I would appreciate the help. I am like 1/4 through with it...

Ruben...I work on the basic stuff this weekend for you...but you'd probably have to get Yeti_C or others to do the more advanced stuff for bonuses...if you like.

Cool - apologies for slowness - had a hectic week at work!!!

Next week will be less busy and will give me a little time to sort these co-ords out... Then we can fine tune with the help of the Foundry members...

Ruben Cassar wrote: Personally I think it never got final forge status because I asked why it had not reached that status yet and Andy does not like that so I am assuming he kept my map out of final forge status for that reason. Mibi as far as I know has done the same thing (asking when his map will be final forged) so I think things are working pretty coherently in the foundry process at least.

I don't know what others think. It's a good map, but the land area is only 30-40% of the entire map window.

The legend and title are huge. I would be more bold. It would probably mean starting over, but I would - if necessary distorting the geography - make the land area take up 50-60% of the screen.

Because your landmass is small your borders are pixel width.

Otherwise it's a pretty good map. But that's no consolation when you have to start over.

Hehe. Okay everyone has the right to express his or her opinion but do you seriously expect to me to start everything from scratch after 28 pages work just because you popped in and posted your first post of this thread? That's a bit unrealistic at this stage.

Anyway my next map will be much better than this one hopefully as I have learnt some stuff while making this map. I look forward to your comments on that one, but I must finish this one first.

I was trying to explain why your Malta map has not reached final forged yet, as you seem to believe that it is a mystery why it hasn't.

I really do think you could start this one over.

With all due respect aren't you a bit too new on this forum to tell someone why his map has not made final forge status or that he should start again from scratch a map on which I have dedicated hundreds of hours? How many maps have you finished? It's people like you that annoy me at times in this foundry.

Also I did not like the fact that you pasted *only part* of my comment in another thread and posted it here. I was just commenting in the other thread to show Dim that not all maps get final forged after a month even though work progresses fast on them. You weren't even here when I started working on this map so frankly you don't know what happened unless you read through the whole thread which I am sure you did not. In fact if you had you would know I started this map from scratch 3 times, something which I believe I have not seen done by any map maker yet on the forum.

Besides only Andy can decide whether a map is final forged or quenched so I think you should not comment on maps with the authority which you clearly don't have. I expect constructive comments from you not start the map from scratch. Also I don't want to be misunderstood, I know Andy or Keyogi will look at this map when I post the next update with the finished XML so I am not waiting for any comments from their side until I do that.
