Edoc has done the obvious and gone after the claimed captain jack sparrow and mandy has defended himself like you would expect a survivor to do. As far as night actions we can't decide because we already know we can't trust giving edoc the sword under any realistic circumstances.

That's true, but a response was promised and I'm still waiting. MOD, when is the deadline, if there is one?

As promised I am going through the game again, its pretty slow going. I just don't see Victor as Jones. I am seeing some patterns and he doesn't fit. I think we should go after players with more "reputation" because I think they are more likely to be both recruited (you want good players on your side) or to be Jones himself, as I do not think the roles here were random.

Will say more soon, just don't hang vic quite yet. I would support a push for him to claim, as I think we need more info on the setup and we have had very few claims to date, but I am uncertain at the wisdom of hanging him right now.

Ok, finished. Victor has really not contributed anything at all this game, I will fully support a case against him assuming my own case gains no momentum.

So if I had to point at one man right now and call Jones it could only be one person. Tailgunner.

First off, the scum being dead is a critical priority for him. Every time I have offered a name as scum he has been quick to vote. This is not damning, but it does suggest that he isn't mafia (duh) but also unlikely to be a survivor, there is no point in drawing the scums ire by supporting me, at least not right away. I would as a survivor play it a little more laid back and join the wagon later on but not right at the end either. He does it quickly and without much question, it also indicates he would rather have a short day.

Then there is this.

Why are we voting Victor for the cult? I couldn't find a good case already on it. Maybe I missed it.

Sorry for submarining the hell out of this game. I'll pick up the slack. I'm just having a hard time keeping up in this game.

At this point, I don't think we should be concerned with edoc's win condition. No offense edoc, but I don't really care if you win. Actually I don't want you to win because then I can only come in second place, which I don't like. By lynching either edoc or Mandy, we'll be wasting the day and probably giving the cult another recruit. If I've gotten the right impression, I think that cult likely outnumber the scum at this point.

I read this as not town. He doesn't IMO have a win condition that says "you win when all threats to the town are dead" or whatever the town WC is is in this game. He has something that allows him to win on his own. Cult leader? Perhaps, it fits. It could also lead to a WC like mine or Vio's.

Especially when you are a lone player, like a SK, Cult, Traitor, or any of that sort of fun role, you really want to tell someone, secrets are fun to tell people. Like in the San Fran game I had a good old time telling several of the players that I was the Zodiac after they died. I think he did this as something that he could write off as a joke if confronted about it.

Last point I would like to make is that when the search for Jones began he dropped off the map, but was quite active while the earlier days were going.

Besides all this I think he would be a good target for a cult recruitment if he is not in fact the leader. Good player, not much heat from earlier days, the ideal person to recruit. All in all a better person to hang the Victor.

Well at the moment I still like victor and the part about wanting to tell people seems a bit wifomy and it is probably worth noting that his posts around the mafia forum have dropped in number across all his games the last week not just this one. However I do remember spotting a couple of off posts by him and I will make an effort to look further into his posts.

The tail argument is a fairly interesting one from my perspective. He does seem to fit into what would be the cult profile (as long as we accept the nondescript approach vs the claimed role approach). He has seemed relatively uninterested in finding cult, which was understandable for parts of the game but does not seem to fit the course at this point. I would be interested in hearing more from him.
