Swearing & abusiveness - wannat8 [CLEARED] KRK

Post by Thronodor »

Accused:

wannat8

The accused are suspected of:

Other: Direct swearing & abuse of another player in the game chat. (Me in this case, but looking at his ratings, not the first time) I cannot post what he posted here.

Game number(s):

[game]9149597[/game]

Comments: I'd prefer if no-one else had to be subjected to this kind of abuse in future.

Foe and move on.
Additionally, try avoid joining games with low-rating players in the future.

Wow...this is a private site but it is still the 'net...that's hardly even worth a raised eyebrow...you could foe and move on but hey, why bother...I'd be more concerned with growing a thicker skin as there's a hell of a lot worse in many many games you will encounter...LOL
PS why does he slam you as an "admin" whore??? Doesn't appear you have any admin links to CC? Just asking...

the community guidelines state that this is an adult site and that you will occasionally bump into a member that may have this sort of "colorful" language.. Seeing as you know enough to look at his ratings and see this is a pattern then you should know enough of what to expect if you get in a game with that person.

Foe & Rate Accordingly, unless you can provide proof that this person is causing a severe detriment to the site and its players by his behavior. Looks to me like he felt there was some tom-foolery going on with dice statistics in the game, tis why the bad attitude, language and admin ref (dice hack). It happens, foe and move on.. If you created this thread though and you are guilty of something it will be found out ...

Play with people with higher ratings and generally you won't find those who swear - though I only have a 4.4 rating because I won't talk in a game unless you complain about dice and then I'll tell you to cry more :P

Foe and move on.

Well said.

Thanks for the feedback everyone.

What I was trying to establish here is the level of abusiveness that's regarded as acceptable here. I'm not particularly bothered myself, but as pointed out there are people here teaching their children to play games. Sure, it's the internet and there is much worse out there, but the question is should there be.

Enjoy your gaming, I will continue to enjoy mine.

wannat8 - CLEARED

It looks like wannat8 is clearly frustrated with the dice or lack of dice in his favor. This doesn't seem to be a trend or a continual problem with the accused, as he/she has been playing since 2006 (C&A would have heard about him by now). I do agree with the statement of watching your tongue with minors on the site, but with any and all game playing, there can be aggressive strong wording that wouldn't be suitable for minors.

Not to minimize your "experience", from what I, and others, have seen within C&A and other forums, this is rather light in the realm of swearing, colorful language and abuse.

Foe and Move on....

Also, for all those that continue to post in the game between the accused and accuser, please STOP!!!

one way to stop this would be to do away with internet. we could all just read books and sing hymns over candlelight. homeschooling our children may be a better option as well.
