Being able to talk to people at day is incredibly important It allows coordination and networking, but takes great skill. The key is not to trust, as there is a decent chance you can target scum, but to still find a good way to work together to pursue a joint goal. Any way to bring more power aligned with your faction is paramount. All of that is thrown away when it is told to the public, you must keep it private and discern for yourself the players alignment, it is a role best given to a advanced player as it is difficult to use properly as we have seen evidenced here.

This sounds a lot like scum getting outed and deciding that the best defense is a good offense.

Those sentences contradict each other (almost as much as using the words "John Smith" and "horrible" in the same sentence). You can't bring power to your side unless you make some information public. With the possibility of a cult, it is important that everyone knows two of the possible cult members.
You seem extremely angry at me for revealing you, but at the same time it shouldn't hurt you if you aren't scum/cult. Even if you're lynched, it will only serve to confirm/deny a cult. As a townie, you shouldn't mind sacrificing yourself for the greater good of learning the game mechanics or finding scum. A townie wins as long as scum loses.

Hardly on the offensive. I am annoyed the a good opportunity has been thrown away and I am attempting to explain why what he did was a bad choice. I I thought he was scum I would have voted for him, he is just new and trigger happy.
Again @ Evil The bits you bolded are not even remotely contradictory, this is a game were stealth and deception are power. The side doesn't mater, that holds true for all, Scum, Cult, Town, SK and all the rest.

Frankly, town has no reason to lie. If I hoard crucial information, then town cannot win. Your continued support of me hoarding crucial information disturbs me.
I find the case on edoc a whole lot of WIFOM. If you guys explain your case better than I might hop on this wagon but I don't find edoc all that scummy. I think he was just pointing out that if you reveal that you can communicate privately with another player you should keep it to yourself so that scum players don't know you can do it. Of course, if you're absolutely certain you're a townie with open channels to a scum player, then it won't matter anyway because then the scum players would already know. But I tend to agree with edoc on this point, although finding out the info you leaked was very intriguing for me. And I think saf's vote on edoc was just OMGUS for blocking him last night.
Ok, now we know edoc targeted saf (assuming he tells the truth), now, the other named roleblocker/jailkeeper: who did you target last night?

John Smith is the bestest persn ever!
You are unfailingly ignorant and understand nothing of the finesse of the game. Why don't we just all mass claim, the town wins because all the information of the game is laid bare right? First off, it is pointless and no fun at all. Second off if you do that in a game that I mod the scum will rape you, I have failsafes built in to prevent such idiocy.
You do not lie, almost always someone caught in a lie is scum, or perhaps a incredibly potent town role that has proof of their identity, but it is rare. What you must do is hold your information until it can give its maximum reward. Say later in the game I claimed JOAT. You would have know I had lied and was likely scum. now your information on the claim I trusted you with is useless and will gain you no benefit. You use a sledge when all is needed is a precise tap in the proper place.

I don't even remember which one of edoc and Yoshi I thought was town and which I thought was mafia. These new circumstances are truly clouding my understanding of the human spirit. What does it mean to be evil? Does confusion lead to evil? What about staunch wrongness? Yoshi accused me of having a blackened soul when I "defended" Sully, but Sully ended up being town. How blatant of a mistake must one make before it can be deemed forced?
Well, it's obviously a call between Yoshi and Edoc - personally I'd prefer to go with Yoshi as his alignment would shed light to Edoc's and should he be town, Edoc is more valuable than Yoshi (sorry to say this). However, due to the looming deadline, I'm willing to test edoc as well.
Gah, we get masoned for the day and suddenly we are the good candidates for the lynch. Yoshi can't even defend himself, he got muted. What the hell do you actually expect to gain from the lynch, do you honestly think our roles are related at all? Poorly thought out Com IMO.

Are we going to have more discussion here or is everyone fine with an Edoc lynch? He'll be lynched if he has the most votes, so not voting or posting at this point is as good as saying that you support the lynch.
I'd like to hear some more discussion in the last two days if possible.
Fk this, I don't intend to die due to inactivity. I don't owe Doom any allegiance, and he is the only other person with a shred of momentum against them. Just to prove I am in no way affiliated with him I will Vote Doom. I have no idea if he has told me the truth, he could be scum, he could be town. He may or may not be a jailer. But I am not going to die because someone masoned me with him for a day.

There isn't enough evidence against Edoc for a lynch. My vote was more for pressure and to gauge reaction than anything else. It wasn't intended to lead to a lynch without additional info first.
@Mod: What happens if two players are tied for votes at the end of the day? Random selection?
I just find it difficult to find both a roleblocker and a jailer. One of the two is probably lying. And even if this is true, then since edocsil blocked me, I believe that Yoshi either blocked the killer or blocked the target. But he's not been forthcoming about this information even after he's been revealed by chaos. Why so silent yoshi?

He got muted for some reason in the game. I have no idea why. My read is honest townie, but it is only gut feel. Cautious, but willing to share info if I was willing to trade. I would rather not have him hung as there is little to make me suspect that he is scum. I have some cases to make, I feel like I got good info today. There just simply isn't enough time to make a worthwhile lynch.
I think personally you and I saf should both unvote, unless you are willing to hang me when no one else is.

I really think there are two roleblockers, probably a jailkeeper and a roleblocker combo, or maybe a roleblocker and a doctor /protective combo. it didn't seem like there was any kills last night, and the one attempted kill failed (really? he tried to kill someone with a banana?), that must mean either a doc on the target or a roleblocker on the killer. I'm not sure if we have a town vig this game but I'm guessing we probably do, and since no kill was made it is probable that the vig got roleblocked as well as the mafia.

I actually doubt that we have a vig. If we buy that we have 3 busdrivers and apparently both a roleblocker and a jailkeeper claimed, then the odds of the vig hitting the intended target drop dramatically. Vig are generally to be used conservatively, but there's a strong possibility of accidental misdirect here. Also, no mention of a second attempted kill from the scene.
But fair point I guess, edoc, there's not a lot that can really push you as scum besides some convoluted night action logic.

I honestly don't really like the idea of no lynch, but I'm afraid to make any pushes due to the time left and the possible consequences... Personally, I think that Edoc might be just throwing his scumbuddy under the bus to get away... And doing that quite successfully.
Maybe your right saf. Maybe there's no vig this game. There seems to be a vig in every other game so I just assumed that there was one in this as well.
And I honestly don't know who else to lynch. Should we bother testing saf's and snow's claim to busdriver? There'd be no use voting them unless we were going for a lynch as they've already claimed.
I do not remember seeing MeDeFe post for a long while. Perhaps he's submarining. His last post was to tell the mod that June 3 is a friday.
