The 42 Cities Of Classic Map

Post by jhparker »

The 42 cities of Classic Map should be the most powerful military cities of the world.

The only exceptions should be to maintain geographic coherence.

The classic map isn't being changed anytime soon haha.

Make a new map of it though, with a new theme, and perhaps some different gameplay, and perhaps it might work.

Classic was already revamped and redone a couple years ago when they got rid of Classic Shapes and Classic Art. So as QoH says, I don't think there will be any changes to it any time soon

I think the best game is classic map.

reinforcements are territories divided by three plus the standard 2,2,3,5,5,7 bonuses.

i want to change the city names, but not their connections to others cities, nor the groups of cities which give the 2,2,3,5,5,7 bonuses, so that movement around the world will remain classic, which is the best i think.

so please make a new map, changing not the city-to-city connections, but simply the names of the cities:

Havana - Houston
Bogota - Caracas
Lima - Santiago
Dakar - Cairo
Lagos - Adis Ababa
Nairobi - Riyhad
Cairo - Jerusalem
Reykjavik - London
London - Paris
Madrid - Rome
Perth - Jakarta
Port Moresby - Manila
Jakarta - Singapore
Dubai - Tehran
Manila - Shanghai
Tokyo - Taipei
Beijing - Seoul
Magadan - Tokyo
Yakutsk - Pyongyang
Novosibirsk - Beijing

You'd have to make a whole new map on your own. It is very unlikely that the classic map, as it is, is going to be changed just to change the names.

Why these names anyway? Most of them don't make sense. You have Paris going where London should be. You want to replace Madrid with Rome. You want London in Iceland. You want the capital of Taiwan to be placed in Japan. Does real world geography not matter to you? At least the way the map is laid out right now, the cities correspond nicely. It makes sense. The way you would have it makes zero sense.

It's called Cricklewood. As for the names, leave them alone. As for calling Cairo Jerusalem, you are stepping into a political minefield.

should have moved it to the recycle bin as this is a moronic idea.

you forgot to move this and now he came back and transformed a 42 cities list in to a 39 countries one.
