Here is the small version with the 888's. As you can see, it was a tight squeeze with some of the territs and the name has had to go above the 888's in some cases.Sniper08 wrote:can we see a version with the 888 put in as i think some of the british front line may need to be adjusted to allow the numbers to fit

Was told to make it that way so the borders do not just disappear before the main foliage of the trees. When it did stop, it looked silly as the terit line stopped before the unpassable. If you look, they are all like this and so is the 150 yard line.Seamus76 wrote:Looks really nice to me. Good work making it all fit well.
One small, easy touch up for you though, the border for the Manelesi territory looks like it goes under the dirt towards the trees.

Had the bushes smoother and I got the same problem you did "Blobs". They will stay as is.natty_dread wrote:There's some pixelation in the green parts of the trees.
The texture of the bushes could also be smoothened a bit.

Yes....koontz1973 wrote:Latest Version [50C]...
That should be it now.![]()
Anything else.

Now that is what I call feedback. None of this one piece at a time piecemeal rubbish, just a huge long list. Great and thanks. Will get onto that right now.cairnswk wrote:Yes....koontz1973 wrote:Latest Version [50C]...

Anything else.
Pros for me:Cons for me:
- The shields on the title look great now.
- the CB test appears to work
I'm sorry to be picky, but i think if you improve these items, it will help greatly.
- 1. Bush brdering Ayize/Buthelezi/Mzwenhianhia - it seems that all territoires border each other, so why have that bush there
- 2. the legend is dishevelled and now cluttered:
a. iButhos look as though they are shoved in there to fit, and on the small map you have IButhhos while the large says IButhos
b. the icons and associated text do not line up, and there is extra leading space (space between lines) on some lines, while on the small map there is extra leading space between items 3 and 4
c. i think the overall text on the small map looks uneven and could be improved by adjusting the leading space on "be carefeul..." text to be similar to that of "January..." text, which would possibly give you a little more space for the images etc above it.
d. Have you tried using the darker text on the IButhos as used in the map.
e. why use 2 different version of text in your signature.
f. the bonuses on the icons could be moved to the front of the text instead so they don't get lost in the text

Yes, they are different. The small tree did not scale well to the large map which is why I had to keep redoing them. Tried them on the small map and the fitted better. THey are the original tree from version 1 I think.natty_dread wrote:The trees are different on small/large...
They look better on the small.
Also, I don't want you to blur out the bushes entirely. Just fix the pixelation of the texture. And maybe add some more varitation to it, beside just 2 colours.

Added some colour to the bushes. Not a lot but it breaks them up. That should help. Let me know.natty_dread wrote:The trees are different on small/large...

Great, you like two things only.cairnswk wrote:Yes....

This bush was a reminant to when there where more territs in the dry river bed. I know that it serves no function now that one of the territs was taken out but by removing the bush you get 3 territs that look empty. It stays.Cons for me:
[*]1. Bush brdering Ayize/Buthelezi/Mzwenhianhia - it seems that all territoires border each other, so why have that bush there
Not shoved in but made to fit after people kept asking what an iButho is. Had it in previous versions but got taken out and placed back in. Redid it all now so should look better.[*]2. the legend is dishevelled and now cluttered:
a. iButhos look as though they are shoved in there to fit, and on the small map you have IButhhos while the large says IButhos
Lined up now on both versions. The chieftain has 3 lines (the others 2) of text so looks different but that is something that has to be kept. Went in and lined the icons to the bottom of the text with the chieftain now centered. With 2 figures being slim and 2 fat, it really is going to be one of those "move it to the left one pixel" jobs. Let me know how it looks and how many it needs to be moved.b. the icons and associated text do not line up, and there is extra leading space (space between lines) on some lines, while on the small map there is extra leading space between items 3 and 4
Done and looks better. Thanks.c. i think the overall text on the small map looks uneven and could be improved by adjusting the leading space on "be carefeul..." text to be similar to that of "January..." text, which would possibly give you a little more space for the images etc above it.
Tried and with the darker text, text is lost in the darker iButhos.d. Have you tried using the darker text on the IButhos as used in the map.
Just did. Changed both to be te dame as the left handed text.e. why use 2 different version of text in your signature.
Left them where they were but played around with the placement to allign up better. Added the glow to get them to stand out.f. the bonuses on the icons could be moved to the front of the text instead so they don't get lost in the text
Do not be sorry, if more people were as picky as you, I would be a happy bunny. Give me something to do during the summer. Hope you like the changes and understand why not all were done.I'm sorry to be picky, but i think if you improve these items, it will help greatly.

I know they are different. Was not sure it was a problem. Will redo the large one now and post in an hour or two. Hows the rest though?natty_dread wrote:The trees are still different... here's what you need to do.
Redo them on the large, then copypaste + scale them on the small. It's easy... Go to the tree layer, select all, copy, go to small version, paste, scale & enter the small version dimensions to the scale dialog.
Now... Take the tree of the large version, smooth out the edges of the green (try the smudge tool with a small brush) and remove that piece of brown in the upper right which looks ugly when there's lots of trees pasted together... Then redo the large version trees with the new tree, and copy the layer to the small.

Trees have now been placed into both versions from the small.Sniper08 wrote:ok is it me or does the trees in the small version look better than the large version.bushes look better.
also not sure about the different fonts in the legend. i think the font for the left is a bit hard to read.
