Judging by some of the stories in the bible I think the whole lot of them was out in the desert rockin' the peyote and dreaming up what to write next.

Was Jesus a Red Sox fan? Why or why not?

Post by Army of GOD »

I say "of course!".
BUT..that means understanding what a Red Sox is and not just listening to the poppycock "definition" put out by the Yankees fans to divert attention from the REAL criminals in our society.. Rays fans.

No, Jesus had to be a Cubs fan, because he supports the underdogs. :D

Then again, maybe he's a Yankee.. because they do seem to be pretty stubborn.

Red socks.. I believe they are firmly heathans
just joking, of course... I am a fan of my son's teams.. the pirates (small "P" .. he is 4 lol) and, of course the A & K team (my other son is 10) : )

Was Karl Marx a Marxist and what does that mean?

Post by DangerBoy »

Technically, wasn't he financially supported by Engels? Wouldn't that just make him another German philosophizing freeloader?

Second question - who profits from Marxaphobia? Some say it would be the right wing capitalists who do so. They're the obvious culprits, one would think.

Last question - if Marx had lived to see the Red Sox win the World Series, would he have become a Rastafarian? Why or why not?

Not quite sure what a Rastafarian Karl Marx would look like but it's fun to imagine

I guess the next thread will ask if Mohammed was a Muslim, or if Joseph Smith was a Mormon.

Not just capitalists, but some religious leaders as well -- specifically, those who see the power of the pulpit more than the responsibility.

I note the obvious dodge as to the Red Sox ;)
