where teenagers we don't care about being perfect and we don't have pressure on us to be perfect (at least most of us don't)
i can say for a fact if it is not underlined red i wont fix it because i wont bother rereading what i wrote. if i'm waiting something important that has to be handed in to a teacher to be graded then ya i use spell check and i get people to read over it for grammatical errors but this is just CC it truly does not matter if i am perfect in the spelling and grammar department as long as people have a general under standing of what i'm saying i'll live

Practice makes perfect........... you should try it out! haha
It's just sad how bad at the English language are today...By the 4th grade I could spell almost anything I wanted. Especially the most common words in the language, which are being misspelled left and right here.

or keeping a job that requires you to write to customers or preparing reports/briefs for management.
Maybe it's the asian in me... but 80s should not be "acceptable". 20% is 1/5th, you should not be happy with losing 1/5th of your total possible score. If you want to consider yourself a genuinely worthwhile member of society in the future, aim higher now. You know the saying... "Shoot for the stars, and even if you fail, you'll be stuck on Mercury"

There, now all your mistakes are underlined and red (okay, it's not exactly the same as underlined red, but one can only do so much with BBCode), and you can fix them...

Why don't you plan on applying to college? That's just plain stupid. If it's financial issues, you can get scholarships if you try hard enough in school.
And especially where I go to school, about 80% of the 1600 high school kids feel the pressure of doing really well since they know how competitive it is to get into college.
Please don't invite me to any pickup games. I will decline the invite.
