Yes, Easter eggs were judged by public vote. The rules for the pumpkins do describe the contest differently than what occurred with the Easter egg. I wonder if this is to avoid it becoming a popularity contest- even with anonymous entries in the voting thread a player can tell everyone theyve met on cc to vote for entry #_. I was obviously not a part of the decision and I am not an artist so I don't enter these things, I am just taking a guess. I bet at least a few designs will be posted for public viewing pleasure eventually.

hey gilligan, did you receive my pumpkin entry on the first day of the competition? just want to make sure as i never got any confirmation and i thought it looked quite cool...

also are we getting medals from the special event games?
