2) Me - Weak Case, but not as weak as the case on Betiko
3) swifte - Doc - Done with, no case
So with 2 days left, its pretty much me or no one.
It sucks for me, but a D1 lynch is necessary to provide at the very least 1 confirmed role.
Some people may not agree with me, but the lynch has to be me if anyone.
BGtheBrain wrote:What can I do? Make a total bullshit case about how someone else is a better choice?
Suggest a no lynch?
Im speaking a fact.
Right now, the best option for a lynch is in fact me. If the town wants a no lynch, sweet. But you and I both know if I come out and say, "So... guys... how bout a no lynch?" I will be called very variation of scum know to man.
At least he's being realistic... if he's town he's willing to sacrifice himself for the good of the town. If he's mafia then this is a big bluff. seems like we are right back where we started with BG

So many pages this morning... Also, with the vote count, betiko didn't vote himself.

Rodion, I guess the town watcher will be keeping an eye on the doctor tonight...
BG is right at this point. I don't like the case on him, but at this point he may be the only option left unless a whole new case arises. I still don't mind the betiko case, but clearly, I'm in the minority, so there is no point in pushing the case now.

My question wasn't a "gotcha" move. You not only said "it's me or no one" (which is probably true at this point), but you added "a D1 lynch is necessary". Basically saying, "we have to lynch me today". I was genuinely curious as to why you'd be begging to be lynched, and how you thought it would help.

is there any role for a player to come back to life or something? halloweentown is a town full of undead afterall...

The exact same words, but a completely different meaning.
I haven't decided whether to vote for you. I don't really buy the case, but as it's been pointed out (even by you): low risk/high reward. I don't see anything else coming up in the next day or so.
Ok, so basically there is less than 2 days left for us to find somebody who most of us are willing to lynch. With Swifte claiming to be doc we cannot take any risks in lynching him. That leaves us BG who claims to be VT, an easy claim. He does seem keen to be lynched, a sign of defeat or a sign of loyalty to town? I think nobody here really has made up their mind about BGs tactic. If you ask me, my guts say he is telling the truth. I'm still not completely sure about this because of his defense, but something in me believes him.
If mafia would lynch doc, and town willing to lynch somebody, maybe it would be smarter if there was no lynch at all? In the first case there would be 2 town lost, while in the latter only one. Is this something people would consider?
My tournament series: Leitz League of Legendary (LLL)
People will die in the game. Deaths will be caused by lynches and NKs. The more lynches we forfeit, the more NKs will impact the game. Lynches are the town's main weapon, while NKs are the mafia's main weapon. Roughly put, this is why no lynches are usually bad for town.
If no other case/claim/counterclaim arises until the deadline, the best thing for town is to lynch BG and hope he is mafia. Not lynching anyone will still leave us in doubt regarding BG's alignment and we'll have no clues entering D2 unless a cop claims a guilty or something to that effect.

Not really the best plan because we have no idea if BG is really telling the truth or not. Plus, with him claiming VT, it's not a real big loss if we are wrong.
Although, I do agree that he is coming off townish to me and I believe the claim I think.
that s my problem, I quite beleive him from the start, and i m not experienced enough to know if a player claiming vt should be lynched just because it s not a big role. in my opinion i'd give a 30% chance he's scum, and I don't know if I should retract my vote or not, as it's all so double sided. he's at L-3, so no imediate danger though..

that's my problem as well... I tend to believe him so its hard to vote to lynch him.

Well, since no one counterclaimed, I guess Swifte's claim stands up for now. unvote
I don't know what to do about BG. I didn't believe his claim when he first came out, but his language the last 2 days doesn't seem scummy. Once Swift claimed, BG was asking for the attention to come back to his lynch rather than wait to see if someone else brings it up. Could be a bluff or perhaps he just wants to expedite what he considers his inevitable demise. I don't know. Is there such a thing as a mafia bomb?

There could be, but it is unlikely.
The likeliest possibilities are:
a) he is in fact a VT and he knows his death is statistically the best move town can make (since someone has to die and his claim is that of a VT)
b) he is mafia playing mr. nice guy to make people jump off his wagon

on another hand, in this game it seems that when you say the opposite of what you want to see happening sometimes it works best.. In other words, BG would know that by just bluffing we would still have seen him as scummy if he really is mafia, and the best strategy is indeed a stunt of triple bluffing.. "yes, eliminating me is definitely what makes more sense for the town" ect.. "please don't eliminate me" would ve sounded way too scummy and maybe he thought about it... I don't know, maybe a little to twisted but possible.

I am Dr. Finklestein, Town Doctor.
NOT evil doctor mind you.. just regular old townie doctor. I'm sorry that I've botched this all up and somehow managed to fling myself in to the limelight on Day 1. I definitely have a lot to learn about how to play this game in the forums.
ughh thats no good, definite unvote
Rodion wrote:9 - How should I play my role?
e) town watcher - in this particular game, watch the doctor. This will either prevent scum from killing the doctor or at least give us insurance that we will lynch the doctor's killer the next day.
f) Town Bus Driver, switching the doctor with someone that appears scummy is helpful as well. Or switch youself with someone scummy for self preservation
There's a lot of speculation that could be made about BG accepting a lynch so I'm going to make it simple. We do need a lynch. Bg is the only one who can practically be lynched. He claims vanilla which is a very safe lynch. I see no reason he should not be lynched.

Alright, I'll follow your lead strike. And BG thinks its essential to lynch. I thought 2 claims would be enough to go on, but I'll follow.
Unvote vote BG
I still dont know if I believe him so it would be amazing if he turns up mafia
