Not sure why it bothers people so bad. Are they jealous? What is the big deal. Whatever makes you happy on this site--do it.
I have to agree with HA here. It's not like those quad games where lesser opponents are manhandled by Veterans are keeping newer/lesser skilled players here.
Game 1675072

His method and tactics for loading his games with easy wins is cheesy. Interestingly he does not receive terrible ratings from those he feeds off of. That should tell ya something.
This post was made by jefjef who should be on your ignore list.

Highest score 3372 02/08/12
Highest position 53 02/08/12
yup, another thread by a bunch of haters.
if you are a weak-ass caporal and you have the honour of playing a field marshall, the guy is nice with you, teaches you a bit how to play the map for next time are you really going to complain for losing 6 points??? is that a bad CC experience for the caporal? and eventually they sometimes win and scratch 100pts.
yes, you can also lose these games!
So some are making fun because 2nd on the scoreboard is all he has in life or whatever; do yourself a favour and proove yourself that you have other things in life than complaining about how a guy gets his points with a method that could nowhere bring you that high if you tried it.
regarding the username change; if you use your real name you are allowed to change it, which is the only condition. so your accusations of multi has nothing to do with all this.

you just need to send invites to weak players without even talking to them!
team fs casual games should be considered cheating then.
The farming rule is in place to protect NR's. GLG is not violating that rule. Inviting players to a game is not against the rules. You can call it what you want, gross abuse or farming it is the same thing you are accusing him of. This is CLEARED.
So why call these unwritten rules if the only part of them that the Mods will inforce, is the part that is written in bold, and they ignore the writing that is underlined.
Unwritten Rules Obviously any gross abuse of the game is forbidden. This includes but is not limited to: throwing games or deliberately benefiting from thrown games, intentional deadbeating, holding players hostage, serial teammate killing, hijacking accounts, systematically "farming" new recruits.
Apparently it's not obvious that any gross abuse of the system is forbidden, because our Mods just turn their backs to the problems that aren't cut and dried, or black and white.
This just makes the whole rules system look shady.

Why are you even worried about it.
Maybe you should play him and take some of his points.
I wont say you need them--well maybe you do
I know when I started--I would have gladly played the highest ranked players--learned from them--and hoped to take their points for making the mistake of playing me
I always sought after the highest ranked players to get some of their points
I was a farmer of the highest ranked
I remember getting foed just for winning
Based on the GLG's examples and his rating you are evidently a bit off on your accusations don't you think

You are trying to find a law that fits the perceived crime. I just checked his games pages on on the last page and 4 out 31 games were with someone with a rank lower than corporal. How is that gross abuse of the game?
By GLG tipping the scales in his favour by only inviting less knowledgable opponents and using a map and settings that he knows best, is like a major league baseball player using steroids or a loaded bat against a pitcher who is still playing little league baseball.
It's wrong and no one wants to do anything about it.
Like I said in a prior post, if GLG did' invite the new players to his games, knowing full well that he he had a vastly superior chance of winning, and he would just leave games open for anyone to join him, no one would say a thing.
He's hand picking who he plays, and I would bet money that if the farming rule didnt exist, he would almost solely be invited just "?"s to his games.

So because he has changed his tactics for the last 30 games, this means that the games prior (probably in the hundreds) don't matter?
ES, thats like saying that because someone was a multi before, and stopped using thier second account, thats it's ok now because he has stopped.
Its not ok, it could just mean that less new recruits are accepting his invitations.
We have the "farming " rule to help protect new players to join the site, and thus increase their potential of enjoyment for their first 5 games. So who is protecting these new players when they reach game 6 and get "seeked out" by the sharks looking for an easy victory?

I am not saying that. I could go back and look at all his 1v1 but the ranks that show are their current ranks that is why I kept it to the last page which had 31 games. Today he has played a few corporals. Where do we draw the line on what ranks he can play or invite? If they aren't NR's he isn't breaking any rules.
When are higher ranked players going to start reports because they are being farmed by lower ranked?
How could a lower rank farm a higher rank?
Farming happens because a higher rank has more skill and knowledge of a map and settings than a lower rank and they are taking advantage of it, or because "?"s dont always stick around and end up deadbeating games, thus the high ranks are getting free points.
I dont see high ranks deadbeating alot of games against new players.
mate get off the c and a mods case there have been several mods over my last 2 years on the site saying they think it is abuse but as the rules stand no abuse has actually happened (even to the point one of the c and a moderators opened a sug themselves to get the rule changed). i personally when i first started on this site hunted out high ranking players so i could learn from them. observing there moves and play. non of the players i faced offered any information as to what i was doing wrong. this is something i do on my pro maps no matter what rank i face because i dont care what rank i am but like the challenge. like what has been said before if you don't like how the site operates go somewhere else. but mods can only react within the rules that are present. and trust me every avenue was looked into before with his previous account. there was actually a major battle between himself and 1 other player about all of this that many members older than me will remember. the result was that member faced bans because he would not listen to what was being said. the only way to carry this forward is in sugs and get a rule change.

ss for double post.
mate i could farm several higher ranks on certain maps if i wanted. i did once at the begining of my cc life arms race was a pro map for me then and trust me i could win easy.

Why can't lower ranked farm higher ranked? They just join games with higher ranked to try to score the big win.
The part in you response that is in red is who the farming rules protect.
You don't like the way GLG gets games but that doesn't mean he is breaking the rules.

no he is bending them. He himself has said he is herding players....as close to farming as he could come without being farming.

Is he bending the rules? No he is not. You want the rules bent to include him in the farming rules.
I love to know why some of these people have such a big problem with what GLG does--it makes no sense unless it is jealousy. This is why there are so many idiots in this world. Mind your own business. He us hurting no one--breaking no rules. Stop being little bitches.

Hmm, look, I think you can maybe look at some of the arguments across this thread and the others like it and at least say that they have a genuine concern about how the rules are applied. This cuts across a wide variety of players- it's something that a lot of different people are concerned about, and it relates to the way that the community as a whole grows.
Dismissing those people as jealous or "little bitches" doesn't really add to the discussion.

Think of me as a Convenience Store. Everybody knows they are overpriced, but they are convenient and all over the place. Or as Walmart: cheap but successful.
Naysayers are like Sachs Fifth Avenue buyers that HAVE to have/play the best, etc. Not everybody thinks like you do -- you assume 90% of CC agrees, and 90% don't care or appreciate it. Open your minds and let others enjoy the site. I challenge anyone of my naysayers: play 100 games (privates and above), see what your outcome is, then let's talk.
This has been closed, but people just gotta get their 2 cents in. Haters have filed 4 reports and ALL CLEARED. Learn the rules and quit complaining.

Erm, I'm not sure that analogy makes sense. Frankly it barely makes sense even within the terms of your post- should we think of you as cheap or overpriced? What did you want to say?

Yeah, I'm a bit confused here too. Shouldn't you be the Luxury Store where service is a high priority and you greet everyone with a smile? So even if you don't buy something, you still go away feeling good?
And aren't the rest of the people kind of like the Walmarts where quick games and fast results is all anyone cares about?
You have always abused the system to get the points you have...Don't even pretend to lie to me about it. The day you leave this website or finally get banned will be a good day
