i've won like 5 out of my 6 games but have only been in a position for a Kill once...then there's another guy on my team with 4 Kills....giving him an advantage in the civil war (assuming canada wins) - i don't think that is very fair, do you?

this is the first time i made a tourney with this format. so of course there will be a few kinks in it.

i noticed this problem as soon as i started awarding the kills. but really, other than a rule change mid game there was no way to fix the problem. so i started thinking about it for a while. what i came up with was;

I see your position as it not being "fair". after all it is chance that puts the other player in the position to give a player a 3rd X.
yes, your wins are very important to making the 3rd X happen.
the player does have an advantage over you even though your W/L is better.
all in all though, it is the other player that gives the ousted player a 3rd X and not you. thus removing him from the tourney. and removing players from the tourney is the key to winning the tourney.

so i have to stick with my guns on this and i'm sorry. i'm going to think about a way to change this up if i do another tourney similar to this. i think it will only be a one game advantage he gets so it's not like a great advantage. and hopefully your luck holds up. i'd hate for anyone to feel cheated in one of my tourneys but it's also going to be hard to make it where no one feels cheated. especially with never before tried gameplay.

i guess one way i could change this is in the next tourney like this i could make it where the person with the most wins gets a spare life too. or maybe the 2 players with the most wins, or something like that. i don't' know. i'll have to think about it. maybe just make it where wins count. not so much knocking a player out. but then that would disadvantage the players that don't lose becasue they tend to play less than the ones who only have one life left. ( players with the least amount of lives play before the ones with 3 lives. ). i don't know. it may just be best to take that part out all together. but i think it makes it a bit interesting. plus the doubles team gets a spare life too. and if TEAM MEXICO would not be winning the doubles games, they would have most likely been out of the picture a while back. but they are very much still in this.

the main thing is, i can't change the rules mid event. that in itself would have too many more issues raised. i like to see this as a test run, hopefully it will only enhance the next one. i think you are in my golf tourney too. that thing is just loaded with problems because i've been trying to change the rules. i think i've finally found a solution for it if the current games would ever end, but that is another one that was a learning curve.

i hope you understand and this answers your concerns. i also hope you play and enjoy the rest of the tourney win or lose.
i'm not out to get anyone and as much as i would like to, i don't play in them. that would really make problems i think. i just like thinking up interesting methods for hosting tourneys, and i like following them and watching the progress. the problem is they are not perfect due to lack of playtime. but they will only get better in the long run.
